From July 15th to 21st, the Young Digital Leaders Campus of the 2024 World Youth Development Forum was held in Guangzhou. Thirty digital youth from 19 countries, including China, the United States, Germany, India, Egypt, and Argentina, participated. Today，the World Coastal Forum 2025 Conference officially opened in Yancheng, China! 300 delegates from 36 countries and regions gathered in Yancheng to jointly discuss, build, and share the ecological protection and sustainable development of global coastal regions. The report State of the World’s Coastal Ecosystems was released at the opening ceremony, for the first time the report provides a systematic assessment of the distribution, changes, and key drivers of 13 types of coastal ecosystems worldwide，and provides priority recommendations for action. With the addition of new partners, the World Coastal Forum 2025 Conference partners has increased from the initial 15 to 25, further expanding its "international circle" and broadening the cooperation network. Centered on the theme “Beautiful Coasts: Ecological Priority, Green Development.”，Yancheng has shared its local practices at the opening ceremony and extended an invitation to the world — to join hands in protecting coastal ecosystems, advancing green and low-carbon development, and deepening international exchange and cooperation.

Sinoxolo Cakata, a project lead at the Sesi Fellowship and Skill Hub in South Africa, this program has been selected for the APGYD. As a participant in the 2023 World Youth Development Forum, she learned green agricultural skills in Xi'an during the forum and has since integrated these skills—along with new technology and entrepreneurial skills into the 6-month training programs for young women. She hopes that young people from different countries will come together as a community (rather than just a collective or forum) to share sustainable solutions to the various issues they face, especially amid the challenge of climate change.

We must look into deepening cooperation, placing development financing high on the agenda of Saudi-Africa cooperation, so as to seize the opportunities presented in these visions for economic advancement.
