The administration demolished centuries-old graves by running bulldozers over them. Balrampur, Katihar, Bihar | 03 October 2026: A centuries-old graveyard in Baghar (Ward-1) under the block was demolished on 23 September. The administration says the land belongs to the Bihar government and has been earmarked for construction of a... panchayat building. Villagers, however, say this is an ancestral graveyard where graves of their families and forefathers are located, and that they have no alternative land for a burial ground. According to them, the administration sent bulldozers over their ancestors’ graves, leaving them deeply distressed.
