The moment elites start designing for a “global citizen,” the nation quietly disappears from the blueprint. You see it in architecture first: – Local styles get replaced with “international” aesthetics that could belong to any city, which means they belong to none. – Ornament tied to history and heritage is stripped away or blended into a generic, cosmopolitan look. – Buildings stop telling you where you are and start telling you who’s in charge – a borderless class that lives the same way in London, New York, or Dubai. That’s not an accident. Globalism needs people to think of themselves as interchangeable units in a worldwide system, not as citizens of a particular culture with a particular story. Anti‑nationalism isn’t just pushed in speeches and textbooks; it’s poured into concrete and glass. When your streets, schools, and public buildings stop reflecting your nation’s character, you’ve already surrendered half the battle. The software (ideology) is running on new hardware (architecture), and you’re supposed to feel that loving your own country is “provincial” while worshipping the global brand is “modern.” Reclaiming national identity starts with more than flags and slogans. It starts with refusing to live in spaces designed to make you forget you have a nation in the first place.

True, power is not intrinsically evil. Evil is by definition, a deprivation of the good. However power is not the summum bonum either. As Tolkien and others have illustrated, power is one of those instruments most easily corrupted by fallen man. The highest aim of beauty isn’t domination But the revelation of truth and the awakening of love for the Good. When beauty is ordered to God Who is the source of all truth, goodness, And all things beautiful It elevates the soul beyond the will to possess and dominate. Toward the desire to contemplate. To worship and to become what is most fully good. Truth heals the mind. Goodness heals the will. Beauty pierces the heart.

Whatever floats your boat

"Power is not evil. Evil is evil". Arbitrary coercive power is objectively (scientifically) evil. Economic power or other forms of pwoer are not, of course.

You’re talking power at the hands of a corrupt ruler. That’s the abuse of a tool, which does not make the tool itself evil. It just makes it a tool that is being abused.

Actually, no. My claim is that injustice — evil — lies in arbitrary coercive rules: that is, in coercive rules which depend on the will, opinion, decision, or interpretation of someone, e.g. an authority (instead of existing independently of these because they are logically demonstrable). An arbitrary coercive rule is necessarily unjust, and therefore evil, even if the person or group that imposed it is not corrupt. Many terrible evils have been carried out, with the best of intentions, by entirely non-corrupt authorities.

Who redefined power as evil? Jews, communist, bolshevicks, liberals. What ever you want to call them they absolutely fear nationalism pride especially in Europe

Power tends to be misused to be evil, as history and our present clearly shows. That's why it's so important to split power up to not let it be run by one single source. Then, power can be used for good, when you overcome the imminent 'temptations' of corruption within it.

Centralized power corrupts. The aesthetics of power exist without corruption when it is designed to elevate the public rather than diminish the individual. It should be a symbol of collective achievement, transparency and shared identity.

I prefer power to the people than power to states or elites.

Powerful aesthetics and democracy are not mutually exclusive

Yet to find a true democracy which is not hijacked by elites (parties) and lobbied by industries against the public interest. Those easily tend to lean into fascist expressions. Powerful aesthetics can be found on small scales as well - think of individual talent.

What a shame that this is usually associated with socialist & authoritarian societies. I really enjoy this symmetric, powerful depictions of power, although there is something charming in the organic chaos that individualism brings

This is incredibly true, wise and breaks through the ideology that evil is trying to push on the West, thank you!
