Having so many students from so many different backgrounds all questioning the way Israel is persecuting it's war on Gaza must be terrifying, not due to the spurious claims of antisemitism, but the threat these protest pose to the political status quo.

Israel is a country. The people who live in Israel are Israeli. They are not Jewish. They can be Jewish, because anybody can be Jewish regardless of where they live. A majority of Jewish are in the U.S. Israel’s behavior isn’t religious nor is it ethnic. This is one nation led by far-right monsters attacking another nation in retaliation, claiming “it’s not retaliation”, and hiding behind Judaism for protection. The Israeli government’s atrocities are well documented, and in many ways counter to Judaism. Because this isn’t a religious war.
