But Merino (in an offside position) who jumps to head it and misses it isn’t, doesn’t attempt to play the ball?😭 5 whole minutes to get the wrong answer

Armstrong was offside, he tries to play the ball but makes very little impact on play because what Armstrong did should not affect Verbruggen from getting across his goal to try stop Archer. Wrong decision, should've been a goal and Southampton should've gone home with 3 points

Southampton seem to be the next team to suffer at the hands of var! Think that’s the 4th straight game they’ve had very questionable decisions made against them!

It's not so much this decision to give offside that is the point. It's consistency. This season #SaintsFC conceded against Arsenal in the same circumstances with Martinelli scoring and Merino NOT interfering. Something needs to change as some clubs get the benefit more often.

Ref watch is pure hypocrisy. 2 useless 'experts' and a ref who hasn't reffed for 17 years....the presenter is the only one who talks sense

What's point in having Gallagher on the show? Always agrees with refs and var. Waste of time

Refwatch 😂😂. VAR looks for every excuse to disallow a goal. Dermot then ties himself up in knots to say that the Referee is correct. Stephen Warnock is wasted on this show. Far too much common sense in his analysis.

I bet the on field decision was for Archer being offside, I can't believe at that pace the refs assistant could call it for Armstrong interfering.

Of course 😂
