The Assisted Suicide Bill Committee has finished. My final speech here. This is not the Bill the public thought they were getting. It contradicts the NHS Act and the Hippocratic Oath. It's got worse, not better, in committee.

Well spoken Danny, and for the hours and hours of you have tirelessly given to scrutinising this shoddy #AssistedDyingBill, on behalf of the public. Genuinely heroic public service.

We owe you a great deal for your fantastic and heroic attempts to scrutinise this dangerous bill, and it is to your credit you have always done so with temperance and equilibrium, against the background of this life and death matter. Thank you for your public service Danny.

Thank you for your efforts, Danny. Truly heroic. Here's hoping the Bill is seen for the hopeless mess that it is and doesn't pass.

Thank you for being a voice of reason on this committee and for scrutinising the bill so thoroughly. It has been shocking and scary following this debate and although I am not against someone making their own decision to die this bill is, as you say, is not that.
