That’s like waste of important time of your life, if it’s a commute for the whole week. What can be done about it? Aren’t there options like ride sharing on two wheelers available?

It’s not Mumbai spirit. It is “I can’t do anything about this pathetic life of mine” spirit. FYI - I have lived in Mumbai for a year and experienced this.

What a sheer waste of time

I seriously feel pity and also surprised the way people live there, 3-4hrs on road spent per day, what would they earn and achieve, dhakke khaate raho, sweating heavily, no quality of life, live in very small houses..

It’s the helplessness and lack of alternatives, and for whatever’s sake don’t ever call it Mumbai Spirit. I live in Mumbai and I don’t have a clue how people like cheek to jowl with stinking garbage, chocked roads, insufficient infra and too many cars..

Would they get home faster walking?
