🤔 People are too busy documenting and sharing their every move feeling and thought to actually take the time to enjoy the moment and experience life = SELF OBSESSED ENTITLEMENT ARROGANCE AND A WASTE NOT AWARENESS!!

100% Thank you - the boomer comments drives me mental. Think of how frustrated you are with the situation today and now fast forward 20 years and everyone is blaming you for how effed up the world is when you know you had nothing to do with it. Likely it was the Epstein class effing everything up as usual...

Extremely shocking at logic. Boomers access the same internet and yet continue to dismiss their children rather than bridge the gap which he tacitly admits they created. Its not up to the children to fix, boomer parents need to find the resources and reconcile; instead of dismiss

Bc kids are still early in their brain and experience development they tend to over estimate how much they actually understand. It’s all part of maturing and working to gain their independence

Bullshit! I am grateful that there is no evidence of the shit I did when I was young. All this technology sucks and prefer life before as we were free from this prison that we live in today.

I am a grandmother, but not a boomer--I was right on the threshold between boomer and Generation X. This is where I think we need to go with this conversation. While I appreciate your kindness toward your parents, understand the information you get from this "awareness" is not always accurate or helpful. You see, you MUST go through the process of experiencing life AND having made the sacrifices to be able to figure out what was a good choice vs. a bad choice. THEN maybe after about six decades of doing the hard sacrifices of life you start to gain wisdom. NO amount of information you get on the internet will come close to educating you like going on the journey of life and getting hit with life like a truck. Awareness is not wisdom. It's the same thing with people who have had no children giving advice to people with kids. Or marriage advice from a child. It just doesn't work. There are so many things that you don't know that you don't know. I absolutely understand how you view the Boomers. Many parents (most people born before 1950) were experiencing the glow of the aftermath of the glory of WW2. They thought America was invincible. They were brainwashed into thinking progressive things such as feminism, divorce, birth control, small families were good things. They were unable to process that the world had changed. You couldn't just let your children into other people's houses and not check on them. The idea of porn was unthinkable to them. They didn't know what the world of rock and roll and drugs would do to ruin life for them and their children. They were naive to the maximum possible. In their old age, they all are looking at all they did to the world and are unable to comprehend it. All these things they fell to that were supposed to make us more free and happy were a huge con. They simply didn't have the wherewithal to see the absolutely devastating effects of these things. They looked away and believed that it was all going to turn out okay--like the outcome of WWII. I've had to do a lot of soul searching and forgiveness about the Boomer generation too. My generation had a lot of stuff they should have dealt with. My generation was raised with oblivious parents. Most people raised in the 1970s have trauma from being exposed to too much sexual content, sitting in front of the television and being absolutely abandoned by our parents. We had to take care of ourselves because our parents had ZERO knowledge of what the world was doing to us. I'd say we were the traumatized generation who had to learn to deal with stuff our parents couldn't deal with. And from your age, I'm thinking you could be my son or my younger sister's son. It was a weird time for many of my generation to see their parents doing drugs and watching Laugh-in and getting a divorce and being told it would be good for your kids. Much like it probably is for you guys today. Now to your generation, from a grandmotherly perspective: What I see that is among the WORST (among many, many things you guys must deal with), is that your generation has had to deal with college debt that is massive. It has put you in a situation where you can't get married and have kids. Can't buy a house.... simply crushing. But not sure that is your parents' fault. My generation was thrown out into the world, told to get a college degree and we had to figure it out by ourselves. We were abandon but we had always BEEN on our own. Your parents might have done too much of the opposite--taken care of you as they wish their parents had taken care of them and rather than have you ready to see and take care of yourself, they didn't prepare you. You weren't ready to be the adult that we were made to be in our early teens. So you were thrown out there and just like we were, you were told you HAD to get a college degree, but now with the feds taking over student loans, they made it easy to get into massive debt because colleges upped the prices by double or triple. We didn't notice because we assumed you were now on your own and could manage. That is NOT a criticism. That's one of the problems of having been raised with parents of trauma. You get parents who worry too much about you and didn't let you grow up. Seems like parents can't get it right. They swing from one side to the other. Sure in every generation there are the outliers of perfectly selfish and rotten parents. But by far most parents are trying their best, trying to NOT make the mistakes their parents did. Each generation gets to look back at their own stupid choices and wrong headedness and weakness and feel the sorrow of regret. Your generation will feel it too. I don't know how we can get progressively better, but what I do know is that no matter how hard you try, how educated you try to be, how many great sacrifices you make for your children, they are going to misunderstand it. Where I agree with you is that all of us need to be humble. Your generation may have the world at your feet as far as information and technology, but it will do you no good unless you have the experience of years and life before you can become wise enough to understand it. You can't skip the years of sacrifice to give you the experience to utilize the knowledge and awareness. That's why you have to seek wisdom. It doesn't come in a little box in your hand. I hope you don't feel insulted. I didn't take the time to write this to insult you but to maybe give you an older person's perspective. I think you are really trying to understand and so I wanted to at least throw out my thoughts. Blessings. You seem like a terrific guy. God bless you.

Oh fucked off. They have the same devices and a 50 year head start yet somehow can get onboard with their children, say sorry or try to understand them. They started intergenerational hate. Also boomers (highest divorce gen) didn't need Wikipedia to not fuck up their family.

The biggest lack of "awareness" is saying something as stupid as you know better. Every generation thinks they know better and their parents messed everything up. Truth is we all get old and screw stuff up. Each gen gets their own stuff to F up.

Same idea with hating boomers for being "so lucky" to buy an expensive house: my mother-in-law's family split a pound of ground beef 7 ways for dinner and lived in a very modest home that is now very expensive: inflation is not their fault either...

Boomers have 0 awareness or pattern recognition. It’s not the awareness revolution it’s complete selfishness. Boomers enjoyed the most prosperous time in human existence and shit all over it. Displaced their children with migrants all for the greed of cheap labor

The problem is that despite now also having access to the information, and receiving feedback from their own children, they still refuse to take accountability. It's easy to forgive knowing that things were done in ignorance, but not when they won't acknowledge their own ignorance.

No. The truth is many parents were brainwashed and swindled into a constructed "dream". Where the man written stories in movies are "real". If your parents are alive now and unaware of whats going on then they are simply still under-control or are going through stockholm syndrom
