For the past 10 years this federal Liberal government has introduced policies that have slowed down Alberta’s economy, prevented pipeline projects and undermined our province. I believe in a strong Alberta within a united Canada. In the coming months, with my new role as referendum lead, I will listen to the concerns of Albertans and ensure that we can address the root causes of western alienation and fight for a stronger Alberta within a united Canada. I am proud to be an Albertan and a Canadian. When there is truth to the words of politicians talking about immigration, that’s not a weaponization of anything, it’s an uncomfortable truth & the opposing party uses it as a counter reaction. I don’t blame mass immigration on the immigrants, I blame the people who let them in, who just happen to be the Government. Over the past number of days, I have spoken with many families whose loved ones are in the Middle East. I am in ongoing contact with the Irish and British governments and I am working to support our citizens in the region. This war is reckless and irresponsible. Further escalation, including the involvement of the British government, reflects a dangerous disregard for international law. I will not be part of any briefing by the British government on their military operations. My priority is the safety and wellbeing of our citizens.
