I miss the New Romantic scene. Cousin to the Goth scene.

One man on a lonely platform One case sitting by his side Two eyes staring cold and silent Show fear as he turns to hide.

"We can remember it for you wholesale". Blitz didn't look like that. There were more stairs to it than there was club.

It was a different time, you had to be there

One of the most creative and impressive decades in music history. I miss the 80s.

@ultra_arcane The Bat Cave would be awesome

Brian, I have dozens of issues of The Face, Smash Hits and the N.M.E. From the 80s in case you are interested 😎

Wow, I’m the paper format?

Boy George look like Tasty Tim , Marylin look like Princess Julia , the Spandau boys they look weird !!!! But cool video!!

Let’s dive into this vibrant, nostalgic scene.

I met a woman on here a couple of years ago and she told me she was in the Blitz the night that Bowie turned up. She said to him he was too old for it. Was mortified now.

This song and "Chant No. 1 (I Don't Need This Pressure On)" were the only Spandau Ballet songs I really liked back then. 🎶

rusty egan on the decks ..them were extravagant days indeed

I used to go to the Rum Runner in Birmingham.

How I imagined Blitz Kids

Pop in to antenna to get Simon to give you a hair cut. Pop over the road to Kensington market for your clobber and you were all set.

The AI Slop club 2026

Youth is so fleeting😞

Ugh. AI slop. Nostalgia/retro stuff is good. When authentic

No one would have been accepted wearing jeans

Boy George ruined it all. Yes, we were narcissts & poseurs, but we were not gay drag queens😐

Those were the days, great days, great music, Rusty Egan, legend.....

@Placebob2

Wow. Imagine when this is realtime and you’re walking through it with a VR headset.. dont think we’re far now.

Love this ❤️

@robquested Strict door policy💥👏

I remember a news item about this place, reporter interviewed Steve Strange, guy from Visage. He said the reporter wouldn't be allowed in the club as she was too old. I think it was a young Sue Lawley. A club where the men wore more makeup than the women.

Wow. That is so cool.

Loved this period…

Oh I loved this decade so much, everyone looked fabulous!

How the F is that done ???

@puddykat21 Let’s remember the Blitz club existed in the 70’s

Can’t believe Spandau Ballet went from this, to Tony Hadley singing in a 3 piece suit.

What a vibe ⚡️❤️

Wonderful.
