Some personal hot takes from AI: engineer Miami follows... 1. Software development is a dead-end profession because anyone can be a software developer now. 2. Anyone can use Cursor or any other tool and generate code. Being a coder and being a software engineer are different. 3. Computers used to be gated; now everyone has the power to make computers malleable. Everyone is a software developer now, but that does not mean they are software engineers 4. If you cannot demonstrate how a coding agent works, you are just a consumer and have imposed an artificial glass ceiling on your career as a software engineer. 5. If you are curious, you will have a job. If you have not been curious in the last two years, you are replaceable. 6. SaaS per-seat economics may become unstable as customers need fewer people to achieve results, prompting founders to think about new unit economics 7. Most companies will take two or three years (or more!) to figure out AI transformation. 8. Jensen is pushing back on the AI will kill all software narrative just like he pushed back last year on the DeepSeek panic. He was right then. He will be right again. "There's this notion that .. the software industry is in decline and will be replaced by AI. You could tell because there's a whole bunch of software companies whose stock prices are under a lot of pressure. Because somehow AI is going to replace them. It is the most illogical thing in the world and time will prove itself. .. If you were an artificial general intelligence, would you use the tools like ServiceNow and SAP and Cadence and Synopsys? Or would you reinvent a calculator? Of course, you would just use a calculator."

You can create an AI Agent that answers your email with a few clicks. 1. Go to ChatLLM ( 2. Click on AI Engineer 3. Select Create an AI Agent 4. Choose the Email Answering Agent ChatLLM will do the rest: it will code, test, and deploy the agent for you. You can also create a custom agent in English. The Agent Economy is coming (somebody should write a book and use this title.) We are going to see examples like this, times 1,000 in 2025. Just think about how many repetitive tasks you perform every day. Some of these tasks are involved enough that we couldn't automate them with pre-AI solutions. That's where we'll see agents explode, and I'm here for it.

Y Combinator CEO, Garry Tan, took the stage for 42 minutes at Startup School 2026 and explained how to build your own personal AGI better than any paid AI course. This is what he told the room: 1. The leverage is in your context, not the model. Tan watches hundreds of founders use identical models every batch. "There are 2x people and there are 100x people who are using the same Claude. Same weights, same context window size, same API. But the leverage is not in the weights." The gap between users is now bigger than the gap between models. 2. One person's output went up 400x. In 2013 Tan shipped maybe 14 useful lines of code a day as a YC partner, dead on the median for programmer productivity. "I did the math on my output, and I'm at about 400x what I did in 2013." 3. Agents run on a different working memory. Humans hold 7 things in their head at once. Every org chart and checklist ever built is a patch for that limit. "An AI agent holds a million tokens. That's about a thousand pages. Three Harry Potter books sitting open on its head all at once." You're still running your week on tools built for the 7-digit brain. 4. Markdown is code now. Tan's stack is mostly skill files: pages of plain English an agent can execute. "If you can write clear instructions in English, you're a programmer. The compiler is a language model." But the most important thing he said got almost no attention — that software companies are about to become the biggest resellers of AI tokens in the world. Think about what that means. Workday buys raw intelligence from OpenAI. Wraps it in HR domain expertise. Sells it back as an AI product at a massive markup. That’s not a software company anymore. That’s a refinery. And right now nobody is tracking the economics of that refining layer — what the crude costs, what the refined product sells for, and who’s capturing the spread. I click "draft tweet" on a topic 2. the artifact pings my agent 3. agent reads the wiki, drafts in MY voice, returns it to the artifact 4. Mark Cuban said what every CEO in America needs to hear. "There are only two types of companies in this world, those who are great at AI, and everybody else. If you don't know AI, you are going to fail. Period, end of story." Mark Cuban didn't stop there. "Whether you are an employee, you're going to have to understand how AI impacts your job and how you can use it to be better at your job. Same if you're a student. And if you're a CEO, you can't just say, okay, I'm going to get my tech guys to understand it and educate me on it. You have to understand it yourself because it will have significant impact on every single thing that you do. There's no avoiding it." This is coming from someone who built and sold the Dallas Mavericks, who made his first fortune selling a company to Yahoo for $5.7 billion in 1999, and who has spent the last two years going deeper on AI than almost any investor his age. He is describing the Innovator's AI Dilemma, entrepreneurs are right now building AI-native companies designed to displace every major incumbent. If a CEO tears down their company to rebuild it AI native, investors revolt but if they do nothing, AI-native startups eat their market and investors revolt anyway. Either path leads to shareholder lawsuits and there is no comfortable middle. The companies that survive will be the ones where leadership, not just the tech team, genuinely understands what the technology can do. The ones that don't will look back at this moment the same way Blockbuster looks at 2005.
