The built in Mac screenshot tool is surprisingly good. Cmd+shift+4 to start drawing Press space to move the selection Press shift to constrain to one axis Press option to scale from the center Cmd+shift+4 immediately followed by space to take a screenshot of a single window!

It is a good start, but once you go the @CleanShot path, there is no turning back. Never...

It's also an easy way to quickly highlight something when recording a screencast. Just press escape at the end to cancel.
