The BYD Yangwang U7’s suspension system uses an electromagnetic setup that replaces conventional hydraulic shock absorbers with magnetic suspension motors. The system uses cameras and LiDAR to scan the roads to anticipate any bumps so it can adjust at speeds of 1,000x per second.

It it just me or is BYD just cranking out videos of ridiculous, marginally useful features that probably aren’t even in their cars to try and cover the fact that they really can’t make any money? What are they even doing? How many models do you need and how can you possibly have any long term quality control with that type of stuff. “This car will be actually 1/4 shark and comes in great white or blue”

This is my new favorite gadget to travel with. It can charge a MacBook on the fly!

It sure seems that there are a lot of unnecessary failure points to make this possible

I feel bad for whoever buys this because how innovative it is. 5 figure repair bills garanteed.

That is pretty epic! I wonder how this type of system is longevity as maintenance wise? 🤔

BOSE done it with Lexus in early 2000, it was to expensive..they didn't have any lidars or cameras, just road sensors..

Cool! How much energy does this use? Does the range decrease significantly or are they using larger batteries to offset the difference?

Cool, but old tech. Bose did this in the 90s with Mercedes. Pretty sure it uses a lot of energy for not a big gain. You’re gonna be glad you have it when you… need to drive on stairs?
