The Catholic Church on Islam:

There is a big distinction between the Church's attitude towards Muslims vs. Islam itself. We are to love Muslims. We cannot possibly respect Islam, which is a counterfeit religion started by a child molester and mass murderer. Even if Mohammed did not "marry" his own 9-year-old cousin and behead 800 Jews in one day, it should be easy to see just from the text of the Koran alone just how anti-Christian it is. Every other page is filled with ugly commandments, such as how conquerors are permitted to divvy up slave girls and rape them after victories in war. Read the book from front to cover; I have 4 times, including once long before I got baptized, when I assumed it was just a misunderstood message. I was stunned to discover just how ugly the book is from beginning to end. I can provide hundreds of quotations to demonstrate this, if need be. We cannot respect Islam at all without becoming party to the sins its has blotted humanity with over the past 14 centuries. If we love Muslims, we will want to convert them, even if only to relieve the suffering Islam has caused them all this time; they're among the victims too.

I think the Church leaders are incredibly naïve if they think Islam is peaceful. Many Muslims are, Islam itself is not.

Islam considers the relationship between Allah and believer as like master to slave. This is demonic.

The issue with this is that wider Islamic society doesn’t actually want to work together for mutual understanding, ultimately they want to conquer the entire world in the name of Islam. How can you have mutual understanding with a group whose ultimate goal is to subjugate you?
