The CBO’s growth assumptions are a joke—they’ve consistently underestimated America’s potential under pro-growth policies. The One Big Beautiful Bill slashes taxes, deregulates industries, and unleashes energy production, which turbocharged the economy during Trump’s first term. CBO’s 1.8% projection ignores the proven track record of supply-side reforms driving real GDP growth above 3%. Their models are stuck in a pre-Trump era, clinging to static analysis while ignoring dynamic economic effects. When you let Americans keep more of their money and businesses invest freely, growth explodes—just look at the 2017 tax cuts. The CBO’s credibility died when they missed $2 trillion in revenue post-TCJA. Trust results, not bureaucrats with a track record of failure.

Even with full expensing for manufacturing equipment and historic tax relief, the CBO still projects only 1.8% growth. If you turn up the growth projections to 2.8%, which was achieved during President Trump’s first term, then the debt disappears. We are growing GDP faster than debt and that trend will continue through the remainder of the President’s term.
