At some point when reviewing plays, the league should consider adding a speed threshold for anything involving the element of time. When you slow plays down to 1/100th the speed, it distorts what actually happened and makes it look like, in this case, Cooks possessed the ball for seconds prior to losing it. The game is not played in slow motion or frame by frame. For a catch: A) Secure control of the ball ✅ B) Two feet down in bounds ✅ C) After (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, clearly performs any act common to the game (e.g., extend the ball forward, take an additional step, tuck the ball away and turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. C is where there is a judgement needed since A and B are clearly met. Now consider this note to the rule: If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds. Because Cooks did lose control of the ball when he contacted the ground and the ball never contacted the ground, it was ruled an interception by Denver.

This is a textbook example of why the "ball to hand" rule exists. According to IFAB Law 12, a handball is not an offense if the ball is hit on the hand or arm directly from a teammate’s kick or header at close range. Vitinha smashed the ball into Neves from point-blank range and so, it is classified as “unpreventable contact”, the rule is superseded by proximity. Neves has zero reaction time to move his arm when the ball is coming off a teammate’s foot from two yards away. There’s also the fact that it was a defensive clearance and not an opponent's shot or a goal-bound ball, there is no "unfair advantage" gained. So, this wasn’t a pen, IMO

Rather than trailing behind, Khusanov has actually recovered enough ground to get alongside and slightly ahead of Joao Pedro. Khusanov is cutting across Pedro's running path to get his body between the attacker and the ball. The Contact: In this exact moment, Khusanov is not pushing Joao Pedro in the back. Instead, Khusanov is leaning his body weight leftwards into Joao Pedro to shield the ball. It is actually Joao Pedro who has his left arm extended with his hand resting on Khusanov's back/shoulder area as they battle for position. In football, a defender is allowed to step across an attacker and use their body to shield the ball once they have established position, provided it is within playing distance of the ball. Since Khusanov is using his body to block the run and it's shoulder-to-shoulder (with Pedro's hand on him), this changes the dynamic completely from a "push." 4 separate handball incidents Connor Barron- • Gets the ball hit at him and accidentally hits his arm while his body is turned • The ref doesn’t see it • Nobody claims it and the game plays on • There’s another 2 phases of play, including Aberdeen TOUCHING the ball • VAR pull it all the way back to disallow the goal Lawrence Shankland- • Intentionally controls the ball with his arm • Hearts go up the park and score • Shankland barely celebrates and openly says “it’s a handball” about 5 times • VAR “check” it and allow the goal • Then Shankland celebrates it Gogic and Trusty handballs- • After getting a penalty vs Celtic for Sterling’s “handball” they set the bar that anything going on target, hand away from the body, accidental or not, it’s a penalty. Also the fact Dundee conceded a penalty for a handball offence with a pass going away from goal the same day 😂 The ONLY thing that’s the same in all these incidents is they benefit any team up against Rangers. Don’t care if we win games etc, the blatant cheating needs called out !!!!!

This crowd spotter has a fun job! And it takes a team! I worked with a guy who side gigged for an NHL team as their team DJ. They coordinate with the spotter to make for fun interaction with the crowd in between plays or "tv commercial" breaks. The guy puts up somebody on the jumbotron and the DJ plays a tune that matches.

A rare magic moment shared with little vixen Summer. Nothing beats coming eye to eye with a wild fox who approaches you on their own terms.🦊🧡 Just to clarify: I have never and will never hand-feed or stroke a wild fox. The reason is that there is nothing to be gained by the fox if I was to do this. There is a worrying trend on social media to post selfies whilst hand-feeding a fox. It makes my blood boil. To train a fox to associate a human hand with food is stupid, selfish and puts the fox in great danger! Let the animals to chose to approach you and just be in the moment, sit still and watch. Don't try to tame or train them. They are not ours but wild and free. 🐾

I’m a bit late to this one - Rangers player wrestles the Kilmarnock player away from the area the ball is coming to, and pushes him in to the goals, this is ok now? Just for future reference, because it looks like a clear foul.
