My favorite formation of the day. The #Chiefs bringing back the inverted wishbone. It’s going to sell defenders on run. Give Kelce & Gray clean releases. If backers bite, couple steps for both TEs. It hits and Mahomes can connect with Kelce on the corner.

Kansas Power Read Play Action Y Seam Andy Kotelnicki is all about distorting the defense. Jet sweep action with the back, wing, and tight end all selling stretch gets the safeties reacting hard enough to open the Y seam behind it. Great use of formation, motion, and action to make the play look exactly like Power Read. Big gain.

Good play call but again, it’s rushed by an inexperienced QB. Sell the pass a little longer - let the blocks to setup. By rushing it, Bryce runs OUTSIDE the pulling guard’s kick out block. If he waited a split second, he runs inside it like it’s designed & it’s a winning play.

How to Get Inverted (Backwards) Hot Routes on Your Tight End For certain tight end routes like the Stick Nod, you can use motion to get INVERTED hot routes, meaning hot routes that are backwards from how they are supposed to run. This works best in formations like Gun Trips TE and Gun Bunch TE where the tight end is on the outside of the formation. The inverted Stick Nod route can be especially tricky because not only does it COOK man coverage, but it also gets into a super unique spot vs zone coverage as well. Your opponent isn't going to see this one coming!

A good Coordinator isn’t scared to run the same play back to back if it’s working. Drew Cronic did this 25 times last season! He dialed up Inside Zone Triple for 17 yards and then called it again for 14 yards⬇️
