Today I challenged the Minister on sentencing for child sexual abuse material offences. Possession is not a victimless crime. Every image is abuse. Every download repeats that harm. Yet suspended sentences continue. The Minister will not introduce minimum sentences. That is wrong. • No national data on sentencing outcomes • Estimated 50–150 suspended sentences in recent years • Many cases avoid immediate custody Where is the deterrent? I will keep pushing for accountability and consistency in sentencing. #Justice #ChildProtection #Ireland
