I bought my C64G because they are all PAL video. I have many other C64s (Breadbin X6, C64C X2 & SX-64 X3) but they are all NTSC video. I wanted a PAL C64 so that I could play the 1000s of games from the 80s that had only a PAL version and no NTSC version on real hardware.

Playing on original PAL hardware lets you experience the games exactly as they were intended! Plus, I think the C64G is a great variant with some nice aesthetic improvements over the earlier models.

The G came in different models… red LED, green LED and even with a dark keyboard (common in Scandinavia). The G is a beautiful breadbin, but the number one for me is the ‘Aldi’ model 😊

I really like the Aldi model too! 😊 I didn’t know that the LED could also be red I’ve always seen the green ones! That’s really interesting!
