The continued delay in opening the Yellow Line is causing immense hardship to the people of Bengaluru. Today, at a public meeting attended by hundreds of concerned citizens and public representatives, BMRCL officials stated that the line is “hopefully” expected to open by early August. However, they gave no... firm commitment. This vague response comes after over ten missed deadlines in the past. On our repeated demand to release the Fare Fixation Committee Report, we were once again given the same templated reply: “The matter has been escalated to higher levels of government and will be considered soon.” This report, which directly affects commuters, must be made public immediately. Regarding the delay in Metro Phase 3 civil works, BMRCL cited challenges in securing international funding. Civil tenders, they claimed, may be floated by the end of this year. But there was no explanation for why expansion of Metro to Tumkur, outside the city, is being prioritised over urgently needed intra-city lines within Bengaluru. Equally concerning was the lack of any response on how the unscientific tunnel road project will compromise the viability of the new Phase 3 Metro line. Through today’s public meeting and protest, we have sent a clear message: The people are watching, and the government must be held accountable. The public will no longer tolerate delay, indifference, and inefficiency in matters as critical as urban mobility. Whose ideas was to operate Lucknow airport metro line in the first phase? Have lived in Lucknow for 4 years now and have used the metro 3 times. From Airport to Munshipulia, the line misses most of the important residential area in the city and caters to niche airport commuters. It was this year that the expansion project got the cabinet nod and will take another couple of years to come up. Till then, the metro will continue to mount losses in hundreds of crores. How bright was the idea of operating the airport line in the first phase in a Tier 2-3 city?

Protecting the Office of the Citizen: A Demand for Accountability and Respect. I am appalled by and totally condemn the abusive language used by Sen. Peter O Nwebonyi against Oby Ezekwesili during a public hearing on sexual harassment allegation Natasha Akpoti raised against Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON. All citizens, irrespective of status, must learn to engage in civil discourse on matters of public concern, however divergent their views may be. Oby Ezekwesili, like every Nigerian, has the right to hold public officials accountable. The aggression on display today reinforces the lived experiences of women in leadership and reflects how male public officials perceive Nigerian women, post elections. No woman, or any citizen, should be harassed or dehumanized for demanding accountability, a duty central to the effective discharge of the duties of the office of the citizen. Public officials must remember that our children are watching and learning from their conduct. As fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons to women, we must all be outraged by such public displays of disrespect. The increasing dysfunction in our public institutions has an unsalutary effect on society and erodes participatory democracy. Despite the current culture of impunity in our institutions, these officials remain public servants accountable to citizens whose sovereign mandate they hold in trust. I salute the women for standing their ground. The office of the citizen is the highest office in the land.

Bengaluru is being strangled by a corrupt government that refuses to govern. The traffic crisis is worsening by the day, and the core reason is staring us in the face: the explosion of private vehicles. But instead of addressing this, the state government is fuelling it. Instead of building mass public transport, it has launched a war against it. At a time when every rupee of public money should be invested in making public transport more available, more affordable and more reliable, this government has done the opposite. It is punishing those who rely on public transport and actively incentivising more car and two-wheeler ownership. The state wants to spend ₹1 lakh crore to build 100 kilometres of new flyovers and 18 kilometres of tunnel roads - a gift wrapped package for the politician-contractor lobby. But here’s the punchline: more than 20 flyovers have been pending for close to eight years, lying incomplete across the city. Before even completing what it has already failed, the government wants to throw billions more at the same failure. This isn’t infrastructure building. This is an addiction to kickback-paying contracts. The ₹18,000 crore tunnel road is the peak of this madness — a vanity project that benefits only private cars while being a death sentence for the city’s public transport system. It will not serve the pedestrian, the cyclist, the commuter - it will serve only the cars, the SUVs. It won’t serve the common guy who uses the BMTC or the metro. While the government wants to build more roads, it is killing last mile connectivity. Carpooling, bike-sharing, and auto-sharing remain unsupported. It refuses to allow private players to run buses alongside BMTC, despite the overwhelming demand. Metro fares are being hiked unscientifically, pushing people away from mass transit instead of into it. Meanwhile, ridership in Metro is weakening. And the result? The roads are flooded with cars. A recent study by Bengaluru Traffic Police on Outer Ring Road found a 20% increase in vehicle numbers in just one year, resulting in a 125% increase in congestion. This is not sustainable. This will lead to a total collapse of the city. Every delay in Metro completion brings more cars onto the streets. Every step taken to weaken the bus system brings more two-wheelers into the chaos. Bengaluru already has more private vehicles than people. No other global city in our population bracket has done this because no other city has such a suicidal mobility policy. Let’s be clear: this government’s mobility policy is not citizen-centric. It is contractor-centric. It is not about moving people - it is about moving cars. This is a government in the grip of a politician-bureaucrat-contractor nexus, that would rather pour concrete than build a city that works. And who is paying the price? The nurse who takes the bus. The student who walks to the Metro. The delivery rider stuck in traffic. The poor and middle class of Bengaluru, who don’t own cars, but are cross-subsidising roads that are built exclusively for car owners. This is not just poor governance. It is structural injustice. This assault on Bengaluru must stop. Every rupee of public money must be redirected to public transport. That is the only globally proven solution to decongestion and cities with denser populations than ours have done it. What’s missing here is not technology or funds. What’s missing is political will. And that will won’t come from those in power. It must come from the people of Bengaluru. From those who are stuck in traffic and fed up of being lied to. From those who are tired of vanity projects and demand real mobility solutions. From a new generation of leadership that fights for commuters, not contractors. Bengaluru is choking. What happened to Charlie is unforgivable. The capability for our government to be complacent with obvious foreign involvement, and so bold in their lies, is because We The People have allowed it. This started the moment our countrymen cowered and gave up on our TEN YEAR demands for the release of the Epstein files, and swift accountability for those involved in these horrendous crimes. And now they expect you to cower and give up as they gaslight you about the public execution of Charlie Kirk. The Epstein controversy is FAR from over, just as the pursuit of justice for Charlie- this is a hill many Christians and patriots will die on. We DEMAND accountability through one course or another. Until the blackmail & subversion of our entire government is exposed, we will be a nation in chains. Fix this America!

Bengaluru's traffic problem needs urgent short and long term solutions. A well-connected Metro network will play a pivotal role in easing Bengaluru's traffic problem. But whether it's the Phase 1 or the Yellow Line, BMRCL has never been able to meet its deadlines in any project it has taken up. We are everyday seeing people struggle for some breathing space in Bengaluru's overcrowded metro trains. From addressing delays in procurement of coaches to speeding up the execution of projects, BMRCL has a lot of catching up to do. But the city cannot wait. Leaving party politics aside, I once again urge CM Siddaramaiah & DCM DK Shivakumar to urgently convene a meeting of public representatives & traffic experts to explore solutions for Decongesting Bengaluru.

Around 5.7 lakh people use Metro in Bengaluru everyday. Around 50-60% of this number are set to benefit if Byappanahalli - KR Pura stretch opens. It will also attract new users. However, State Govt is not opening the stretch for public use, despite all clearances from CMRS. They are waiting for Rahul Gandhi to give time for this inauguration, while thousands are waiting helplessly. Lakhs of people get down at SV Road or Byappanahalli and continue their journey to their workplace in the morning. In the evening they catch a bus, auto, cab and reach Byappanahalli and then walk long distances to change Metro. This is a long and frustrating travel that is killing productivity and takes a toll on mental health. The project is already late by 2 years. Without a single day additional delay we must open this line. People of Bengaluru can’t wait endlessly for Rahul Gandhi to make time to open this. I demand CM & DCM to open this stretch for public use immediately. They can do the official inauguration whenever Rahul Gandhi make their calendar free.

This goes along with what Bob and I discussed on our chat. Of the Military presence and prepared to take the streets along with law enforcement. No one is even remotely talking about how they are in the cover of night showing up where they need to be. Not one report on the news that this many marines have shown up over the weekend to LA. My question is where else are they showing up and no one has seen it or even knows. And look at the military presence in Washington and the fences being put up there. Something is about to happen. I can feel it. False Flags are coming and going to grow in magnitude to a point of absolute chaos that will have the public allow for military intervention the public will demand it. This will be the summer of justice the enemy is going to try to stop it by using fear and false flags. We must be the ones that stand in the gap and fight using our power for love and calmness to peace. Not to be confused with weakness but we are the real strength. Bengaluru Metro has become the costliest in the country, thanks to the state government’s negligence in correcting mistakes caused by anomalies in fare fixation. As a result, Bengaluru metro travel now costs nearly twice as much as in Delhi, Mumbai, and Chennai, leading to a reduction in the number of metro users. The state government and ನಮ್ಮ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ are now looking to hike fares by another 5 % in February to offset losses in operations and maintenance. Yellow Line Open Madi! Plagued by years and years of delay, the all important Yellow Line between RV Road and Bommasandra is yet to be operationalised even after BMRCL missing multiple deadlines. Bengalureans continue to struggle with traffic jams daily, especially at the Silk Board junction & many parts of the IT/BT corridors through which this line passes. Our patience has worn thin.
