🇮🇪 Last night Sinn Féin brought a motion to the Dáil which calls on the Irish government to plan and prepare for a United Ireland. This means establishing an all-island Citizens Assembly on a United Ireland, producing a plan toward Irish Unity and working to secure a date for Unity referendums as provided for by the Good Friday Agreement. Inch by inch, we get closer to Irish Unity in our time. The ending of partition and the reunification of our country is an immense and historic opportunity that must be seized with enthusiasm and energy. #unitedireland #irishunity

We’ll be back in the Autumn with further legislation because the people of Ireland deserve to be prepared for constitutional change and the opportunity to shape our own future. The momentum for Irish unity is growing. We will keep building it.
