Lindsey KILLED her children PERIOD She chose to end their lives. She has not had a phycotic episode since then. She KILLED her children PERIOD and she needs to pay that price.

The Clancy case isn’t this. If only Lyndsay only had taken her own life. Then 3 kids would be alive. The blood work showed she wasn’t even taking most of the meds. And Where does it end ? Are you all going to rally behind every woman who kills her kids ? Anyone who kills her own kids obviously has mental problems Are you all going to campaign for Kaley Earhart who slit her 3 kids throats this month? This woman’s husbands case is nothing like the Clancy case

Absolutely. We had a similar experience in our family when a casual mention of stress in an annual checkup led to a proscription of a heavy duty SSRI, with no followup, no workup, nothing. Just a family practitioner writing up a script that radically changed the family. Awful.

Did I hear her right? His brother prescribed this anti-psychotic?

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I know from firsthand experience how terribly these drugs can affect you. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Doctors lead with symptoms and meds before they even do a full assessment and get a diagnosis. Gentle reminder: just because they prescribe drugs doesn’t mean you have to take them!

Excellent breakdown. You make perfect sense and are right. Regular human stress is not mental illness.

A few years back, I was prescribed Chantix to quit smoking. I certainly didn't feel like smoking anymore, but the world became a very dark place. Watching the news gave me feelings of unbearable grief, worse than I ever felt before, and the smallest inconveniences brought me to tears. A few weeks into it came the blisters on my hands and arms; I called the doctor, and it turned out I was hours away from certain death. The doctor called it an allergy.🤡

I think people don’t place enough weight on the dangers and potency of medications. Any time a physician orders you something you should research it a bit and then decide if you think it’s warranted and know the risks and side effects. I feel like people just don’t put enough thought into it. They are chemical concoctions and should he last resort and only if absolutely necessary!!

She had me totally invested UNTIL she started her rant about that baby killing monster mother. Then she lost me totally. Sorry. Maybe pitch your story about your husband by itself. He wouldn’t want to be compared to that baby killer.

Someone I know had an adverse reaction to an acne prescription that ended w/ a 3-day stay in a psych hospital. It altered course of their life (had to withdrawal from med school for a year.) A licensed nurse & mom of 3 being prescribed ~10 SSRIs during postpartum is diabolical.

When I was dealing with Covid related taste and smell issues I tried everything, even one Dr recommended I try an antidepressant as it had helped other people....I took one pill, one time, one day and felt like I was dying, never took another one again!

Excellent. Men need to face this issue. The knee jerk “women are evil” hysteria means they mentally cannot handle this conversation.

I was given depakote for severe nerve pain. Within days, 3 days- unaliving thoughts happened OUT OF NOWHERE. My life was legitimately amazing ATP. I thought they could amplify thoughts that were there, not make them happen. It was truly terrifying.

This is actually very convincing for the case of Lindsey being non culpable But 2 problems...3 even 1) The tragedy of the husband resulted in self destruction. Even with the drugs he didn't destroy anyone else. But if he had. He'd still be liable 2) your choice to take drugs as a coping mechanism is just...idk. It's like blaming it on the alcohol 3) was the stoppage of the drugs ever considered? As sad as the story is. It doesn't absolve her. It simply gives a reason. But not an excuse

That statement right there! “The prescription is not proof of the diagnosis.” What I am now sharing has nothing to do with culpability for one’s actions. And my beliefs about this have nothing to do with believing that Lindsay Clancy was not culpable. This is only about the flaws in the system. So, follow along. I was in a short stint of inpatient addiction treatment in January 2021. I had never been on antidepressants until July 2020, when my son’s father died. I was put on Zoloft by my Primary Care physician. Well, by January, I hadn’t gotten better, but worse. Probably because I was drinking, right? But, that’s not what the next doctor I saw concluded. She saw me in the treatment facility for all of one visit and decided that what I needed was Vraylar. I didn’t know anything about the drug and I just wanted to get better. But, it made me insane! I found out later that the doctor had been fired and was in serious trouble for prescribing tons of patients Vraylar and noting “bipolar” on everyone’s insurance in order to get it through because it was new and expensive. Thank God I only took it for two months. I knew something wasn’t right — I seemed to have even worse impulse control, which is really, really bad for a person who needs to quit drinking, btw. This kind of shit is widespread and out of control. We cannot blindly trust doctors, it’s on us to take responsibility for our care too. The rampant abuse and corruption with Big Pharma proves that.

Our pediatrician pushed a psychedelic drug on our oldest. The more I learned the more I grew to have zero trust of the pediatrician.

Except Lindsey Clancy didn't take all those medications as prescribed. She barely took any if them at all. I'm so sorry you lost your husband to this, these medications are HORRIBLE and EXTREMELY over prescribed. However, Lindsey Clancy is a whole nother MONSTER. Just look up whether or not she even took the meds she was prescribed as prescribed. She did not. SEven IF she had it still doesn't change the FACT that she murdered her own THREE children after sending her husband out. She TIMED it. I am completely against SSRIs and medications like this, however I still firmly believe she deserves the death penalty. The fact that women keep excusing what she did is fucking disgusting.

The doctors are lead by the nose by big pharm. Benzo's are altering the lives of families without detailing all of the side affects. People are suffering for many years with the physical and mental damage caused by these drugs. God bless you and your family.

But it's a known fact already that she refused to take some of those medication's and only took them the day of the murders.. her prescription bottles were almost full, she only had a small trace amounts of what she needed to take, the day she planned the murder of her kids 🤷🏻

But she didn't take the medication

Did you say his brother holy mother of god why

Did he murder your children?

Thank you for your honest story. I believe the entire medical establishment has over prescribed psychiatric medication for decades causing more harm than good in a good portion of cases.

Nothing causes premeditated murder

Lindsey should still have to do Prison time! She knew what she did, she admitted it.

I understand this is off the main subject but I wonder if his brother blames himself for John’s death or if he is truly indoctrinated by big pharma. I have a wife with Alzheimer’s that I believe was caused by benzodiazepines so I hope I live long enough to see these evil people imprisoned. So many are to blame, government and private companies. I also lost my brother 4 years ago which is why I focused on that piece of this detailed, heartfelt explanation of this tragic loss. My condolences on your loss, John sounds like a special person.

I could not agree more and could not have said it better. Ppl think this is a black and white is not. There is plenty of gray here.If your wife told you she was having dark thoughts about hurting herself and your kids, would you ignore those comments?

I'm curious as to why he went to the doctor in the 1st place? If he just started his job, how did he have time or have health insurance to even go? Then his mom was put in the hospital? Like what sent him to the doctor? For me, most men I know, don't seek help like that.

There’s a big difference between a man who gets put on an antipsychotic & takes them regularly, unnecessarily & a woman who asked for pills, got pills, but rarely took any of them, as if setting up a defense ahead of time. I would go so far as to say there’s a gigantic difference

Thank you! Every Veteran thanks you! We need to speak louder about the pharmaceutical industry and how it impacts those asking for help.

Thank you for bravely sharing your story. I wish we were privy to some of the pharmaceutical drugs prescribed to mass shooters & other violent perpetrators. I speak from experience. But with patient confidentiality it’s not a likely scenario. I had breast cancer. I agreed to radiation & hormone treatment, but declined the chemotherapy. The hormone blocker sent me into an emotional menopausal mental downfall. The oncologist prescribed an antidepressant. I was a mess, & it was doubled in strength. I finally quit taking it, and had withdrawals that they labeled Discontinuation Syndrome. It was a bad experience. This experience was a was a big lesson to me. I, now, research prescribed medications before agreeing to take them. The only drugs I have had withdrawals or discontinuation syndrome from were prescribed by a trusted physician. I am not siding with Clancy or any other murderer. I am simply saying, we must become aware of the side effects of these brain altering drugs.

Why is she talking in past tense about the guy?

Why would his brother prescribe that to him?
