The CW launched 20 years ago today.

The CW launched on Monday, September 18, 2006, with a special hosted by Hilarie Burton and Ryan Devlin. Full show: The first new episode was the season ("cycle") seven premiere of America's Next Top Model two nights later on Wed, September 20, 2006.

The WB was cooler than the CW Hell, UPN was cooler.

They canceled Everwood in May 2006, while renewing 7th Heaven, Gilmore Girls, and Veronica Mars. They canceled them all just one year later. Reba, too!

this is not even close to the promo of the wb when it began it was embarrassingly out of touch how they premiered the channel with all the network stars dancing like trained seals (looking at it now, it's very nostalgic tho)

and it would have worked, but dawn ostroff is dumb. she shouldn't have canceled everwood and reba, she should bring the oc for a last lap there and dedicate an entire day of the schedule just to black sitcoms (tgif style).

And ended in 2022 with that fuck ass merger that destroyed the network

TBH, I miss the old CW, not the one owned by Nexstar

Half & Half should’ve made it to CW over All of Us. I stand by that…

This would be a great episode for where are they now. Everyone here was elite at status at that time.
