It is prefabbed modules stacked on the Hull and Deck of the rig. The modules are called by what they are designed to do such as the Drilling Well module, the Quarters module, where people sleep and eat, the power module, for steam and electricity, etc. So, basically, they place a section of the entire rig together in blocks with equipment already built into that block then stack them like a puzzle. I worked for Shell Oil as a Project Controls Engineer on many (TLP) Tension Leg Platforms that actually floated on the surface of the water. I started my career when the first TLP was being fabricated which was called Augar. Next was MARS, then RamPowell, then URSA, and finally Brutus all in the Gulf of Mexico. The platforms float on pontoons that are below the Hull and the Deck which sits on top of the Hull. Then all the modules are stacked on the deck with the equipment such as pumps, tanks, towers, exchangers, etc all placed on each module. The things are huge. RADDBG now allows disambiguating global variable evaluations by compilation unit, as well as module or debug info name, regardless of where your selected thread happens to be. It picks module, debug info, compilation unit, and - for local statics - containing function based on the selected thread's position, but those are no longer required, meaning you can evaluate any global variable, in any module, in any unit, from anywhere.

U.S. company AG3 Labs has demonstrated the RACK module for launching FPV drones. The modular system is reportedly designed to be mounted on different platforms and can accommodate up to five FPV drones per module. The demonstration reportedly showed RACK modules integrated onto the AZAK S26 unmanned ground vehicle, developed by AZAK, as well as the ULTRA unmanned ground platform from Overland AI. Quick test of the new damage model (and reason why I needed combat text for debugging). There is quite a lot to unpack, if you won't read this, I won't blame you. Armor penetration is now a thing, and AP/APHE projectiles can exist. A new module system is in place, module shapes and their hitzones are decoupled from hull parts. Hullparts (including parts in armor layers) can have a variable armor rating. Shooting at complex vehicles with APxx ammunition can now yield various results. Ranging from surface hits (white) to module/critical hits (red), Internal hits (penetrating through the hull layer but missing a module) are displayed in yellow. Piercing damage itself is cyan. Modules can now be destroyed, disabling or losing ability modules, defensive fields, or damaging propulsion systems can now happen. Destruction of some modules can also result in quite volatile reactions (we will take a look at that next time). Hence, understanding the layout of your target, its armor layers, and module positions can be greatly beneficial. Energy projectiles can mirror this behavior. The difference is that piercing damage from ballistic projectiles is always kinetic, while for energy projectiles, it's a percentage of their energy pattern. The video shows an emergency SOS pager that sends your geolocation so you can be evacuated from a zombie apocalypse when there is no mobile coverage. NTN (Non-Terrestrial Network) is a 3GPP standard in the LTE/5G family. It uses a regular SIM card and is supported by many modern smartphones and smartwatches. NTN is extremely slow and is billed per byte (!), but this is okay when you need to send tiny amounts of data: telemetry or short messages like “I’m alive, heart rate 80 bpm.” In this demo, we use a Blues Blues NOTE-NGBLWX module that connects to a geostationary satellite on the Skylo Skylo network and transmits data to a Blues NoteHub server. We’re planning to develop a Flipper One IoT module that can serve as a backup communication channel for outdoor use or as an emergency gateway for alarm and monitoring IoT systems.

Ford CEO Jim Farley on why it's so difficult for legacy car companies to get software right & why Tesla’s vertically integrated approach is the right one: “We farmed out all the modules that control the vehicles to our suppliers because we could bid them against each other, so Bosch would do the body control module, someone else would do the seat control module, someone else would do the engine control module. We have about 150 of these modules with semiconductors all through the car. The problem is the software are all written by you know 150 different companies and they don't talk to each other. So even though it says Ford on the front, I actually have to go to Bosch to get permission to change their seat Control software. So even if I had a high-speed modem in the vehicle and and I had the ability to write their software, it's actually their IP and I have 150, we call it the loose Confederation of software providers, 150 completely different software programming languages, you know all the structure of the software is different. It’s millions of code and we can't even understand it all. That's why at Ford we've decided in the second generation product to completely insource electric architecture. 🚨 Gaganyaan IADT-02 Completed!! ISRO has successfully conducted the 2nd Integrated Air-Drop Test (IADT) of Gaganyaan on today morning after the first one in August 2025! 🔥 The aim of this test was to validate the parachutes and other recovery systems on board Gaganyaan that are necessary for safely landing the Crew Module on Earth upon its return from orbit. In this test, the Crew Module, weighing in at 5.7 tons, was lifted by a Chinook aircraft and dropped from an altitude of 3 km over the Bay of Bengal near the Sriharikota coast. The Crew Module subsequently slowed itself down autonomously using a series of drogue and main parachutes, followed by a soft splashdown in the sea.
