If a man can become a woman simply by declaring it, then this is a woman. If he identifies as a man in his personal life and only identifies as a woman on the court, then “they” are gender fluid and you don’t get to say otherwise. And frankly it doesn’t even matter how he or she or they identifies because if there’s no difference between men and women anyway, then the women of the WNBA should have no trouble competing with Freedom regardless. And if you think this is stupid, I agree. The stupidity is the point.

Something worth thinking about: how did America get so extreme and so divided over the Middle East...and along what lines? There is a big part of our society that is taking a complex situation that is new to so many and making it a competition of which side is worse. I'm not asking you to draw any specific conclusions, but there is something to the nature of selective outrage...so many being so angry about things that they only see happening in what, in whom they oppose....despite how clear the situation may be. We have to focus on what matters - you have to be caring about the hostages and the situation on the ground.

Regardless of the horrific incident that took place in Mogadishu, one that does not reflect our values as a society, Somalis should understand that feminist movements are nothing more than Zionist movements whose goal is to undermine the values of society. Many Western societies have already recognized this and are pushing back against these movements. In 2026, Somalis should not be reviving an ideology that much of the world is already rejecting and trying to move beyond. They are not fighting for women's rights, they seek to corrupt women and strip men of their role in society, reducing them to a mockery. I support justice for every part of society, women, children, the elderly, minorities, and MEN. But this obsession with women, while Somalia is a country where the entire population suffers from injustice, insecurity, weak institutions, and a lack of effective representation, makes no sense. We have far greater and more fundamental problems that need to be addressed first. Somalia needs to strengthen its security and judicial institutions. As those institutions become stronger, crimes against every segment of society will decline!

This exchange is extraordinary not just because in a normal world you wouldn't have to point out that crossing the border illegally is a crime, and there is nothing different about families being separated if they cross the border illegally than a range of other crimes such as DUI or domestic violence. Our people, it’s high time we had a serious conversation about how our society speaks to and treats the girl child. It’s high time we talked about what kind of culture and what kind of society we want to be. There is no greater sign of civilization than how a society treats its women. If our girls are not safe in our streets, not safe online, and not safe at home then we cannot claim to be a civilized society. Tomorrow, when someone starts to preach a contrary message to our women and girls, the only reason they may find an opportunity is because we as a society have first laid the foundation through our actions or inactions. Our girls should be proud and safe in our streets. We are better than this and it is our responsibility to set a better example for our young men and young women. This video of a young male student beating up a female student because she said she does not want to be in a relationship with him is wrong on so many levels. I will start with the simplest issue. The person recording and just watching is as culpable as the idiot committing the violence. He should have intervened and stopped this coward from assaulting an innocent girl. The boy carrying out the violence is wicked and dangerous. This is the kind of behaviour that grows into a violent man, a violent partner, someone who cannot take no for an answer. That mindset is already visible here. Women and girls have agency and the absolute right to reject a proposal. When a woman says she does not want you, you respect that decision. You do not intimidate her. You do not force yourself on her. What we are seeing here is also a reflection of upbringing and socialisation. This kind of violence is learned. A boy who thinks this is acceptable behaviour has likely seen it normalised at home or in his community, perhaps watching a father abuse a mother and believing that it is acceptable. I never saw my father lift a hand or even raise his voice against my mother. That is why this is so disturbing. The Zimbabwean police must identify this young man and deal with him decisively. If such behaviour is ignored, these are the same young men who later become murderers because violence has been normalised in their minds. Beating a woman because she said no is not strength. It is weakness of character, weakness of mind, and moral failure. I also want to commend this young girl. She showed courage in the face of brutality. If anyone knows her, please identify her. I want to do something for her. She deserves recognition for standing up to a cowardly bully. And to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Zimbabwe Republic Police, this is what we have been saying for years, to you and to the political elites who routinely use violence against citizens. Violence has been normalised in our society. Children have grown up watching the police use force against civilians. They have seen soldiers brutalise and kill citizens, and they have learned from it. They now believe that violence is acceptable and that every dispute must be settled through force. This is not happening in a vacuum. This culture of violence has been taught, demonstrated, and tolerated from the top. What we are witnessing in our streets and schools is a mirror of what the state has normalised. This, too, is on your doorstep.

That mindset is already visible here. Women and girls have agency and the absolute right to reject a proposal. When a woman says she does not want you, you respect that decision. You do not intimidate her. You do not force yourself on her. What we are seeing here is also a reflection of upbringing and socialisation. This kind of violence is learned. A boy who thinks this is acceptable behaviour has likely seen it normalised at home or in his community, perhaps watching a father abuse a mother and believing that it is acceptable. I never saw my father lift a hand or even raise his voice against my mother. That is why this is so disturbing. The Zimbabwean police must identify this young man and deal with him decisively. If such behaviour is ignored, these are the same young men who later become murderers because violence has been normalised in their minds. Beating a woman because she said no is not strength. It is weakness of character, weakness of mind, and moral failure. I also want to commend this young girl. She showed courage in the face of brutality. If anyone knows her, please identify her. I want to do something for her. She deserves recognition for standing up to a cowardly bully. And to the Zimbabwe Republic Police Zimbabwe Republic Police, this is what we have been saying for years, to you and to the political elites who routinely use violence against citizens. Violence has been normalised in our society. Children have grown up watching the police use force against civilians. They have seen soldiers brutalise and kill citizens, and they have learned from it. They now believe that violence is acceptable and that every dispute must be settled through force. This is not happening in a vacuum. This culture of violence has been taught, demonstrated, and tolerated from the top. What we are witnessing in our streets and schools is a mirror of what the state has normalised. This, too, is on your doorstep.
