An emotional day for The Sameer Project team when we opened the desalination plant on September 10th! Support our work: After long hours of tears and sweat, we managed to open a desalination plant that provides a new source of clean water in Gaza. With God’s grace and your material support, we were able to do it. This desalination plant will help us save costs on providing water and we will also provide our partner organizations with free water to distribute. Working in community is a key pillar of The Sameer Project. So this is not our success, this is the success of mutual aid groups in Gaza. To operate the plant, we will need around $1,500 per day and we will be able to produce at least 150,000 liters of fresh water with that. The Sameer Project still needs your support to operate the desalination plant so please commit to a small amount monthly to sustain this important work. Our Food & Water Campaign link is here: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

Less money for more water. That’s what we’re working on achieving at The Sameer Project through partnerships and finishing our desalination plant. Help us now: We managed to provide 430,000 liters for $4,845 instead of $6,300 by getting more free water from our partners at MSF. We are also working on getting subsidized fuel to further lower the trucking costs, and the desalination plant will also help provide more water for less money. When you donate to The Sameer Project, we know that you want maximum support to Palestinians in Gaza, and we do everything we can to provide it. Our strategy is the most amount of aid for the least amount of money! Your dollar goes a long way with The Sameer Project. Give now to our Food & Water Campaign: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

They said it couldn’t be done… We had people doubt us… How can you build a desalination plant in the middle of a genocide - it’s too hard. It’s impossible to source all the parts… Weeeellllllll….. Thanks to you, thanks to the incredible efforts of our team, thanks to the will to be different and make a real difference…WE DID IT!!! The Sameer Project’s water desalination plant in the North is complete. During our pause in distributions and operations we went through testing of the plant and the quality of water produced. And we are ready!! Ready to produce new and more volume of water in the North. We will distribute this water ourselves AND give it out for free to organization who have capacity to deliver it to areas in need. Now we need continues funding to keep it operation: that includes fuel for the generator, maintenance, staffing of the plant - with your help this plant will basically pay for itself after a few months of operating and saved costs. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign to bring new water, additional water, to Gaza: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

For weeks now, The Sameer Project has been working on building a new desalination plant to provide a new source of clean water for Palestinians in Gaza. This will help us save money and have a new source of fresh water. Contribute here: Watch our incredible team at The Sameer Project working with the engineers and workers to make magic happen despite all the obstacles. This project is costing us around $200,000 but we will be able to provide 250,000 to 300,000 liters per day for a maximum of $2,000 - instead of the current $4,500 we pay for the same amount. The Sameer Project will save more than 50% of the cost of water distribution per day. So in around two and a half months of operating the desalination plant, we would’ve saved $200,000. This will allow us to use your donations to provide even MORE aid. We are at the last stretch and need around $50,000 to complete the desalination plant. Donate today to the Rebuild Gaza Campaign: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Rebuild") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Rebuild")

The Sameer Project desalination plant is now open 🎉🥳 Support here: Five months of planning, searching, installing, testing and so much more to finally be able to operate today. This wouldn’t have been possible with this incredible community, without YOU! With multiple desalination plants bombed and huge water scarcity in the Gaza Strip, you have allowed The Sameer Project to now create a new source of fresh water. We expect to produce 150,000 to 200,000 liters of clean water daily. All water from the station will be provided 100% free of charge to displaced families and residents. The station is also open to our partners and other organizations wishing to collect water and distribute it through their own operations, at no cost, subject to prior arrangement and coordination with our team so that collection can be scheduled properly alongside daily community distribution. We built the station as a shared resource for the response in Gaza City, not for our own distributions alone. Collective work is what we need towards liberation. Support the operational costs for the desalination plant by giving to our Food & Water Campaign today: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

Posting these videos fill us with rage and frustration. You would think that the bare minimum that Palestinians would get after three years in genocide is food and water but even that is not secured. The Sameer Project never planned to pause. Never wanted to pause. But sadly here we are. Please help now: We reduced our water distributions from 430,000 liters down to 185,000 liters. This is in August, the hottest month of the year. All we need is $15 for every 1,000 liters and we can do a MILLION liters daily. We can scale up. We have the team. We have the processes. We are part of the WASH cluster. We just need the funds. Give monthly to our Food & Water Campaign to help us give out more water in Gaza: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

An average 6,000 liter water truck serves at most 3,000 people. That’s two liters per person, the very very below minimum that each person in Gaza has access to per day. The 2-5 liters that people live on, barely surviving on. Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine)) x The Sameer Project distributed 322,000 liters of clean water on June 15 to areas in the North. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign. We are failing Palestinians in Gaza. We are not doing enough. We are not supporting enough. Help here: The Sameer Project increased water by 30,000 liters per day this week reaching 215,000 liters. The camps we went back to after two weeks of absence were furious as they struggled massively without water. 215,000 liters is low. We can do more. The Sameer Project has the ability to scale up to half a million liters overnight. All we need is funding. Monthly donations for the Food & Water Campaign are only at 19%, so we can’t plan ahead for September for a large increase. Please set up a monthly donations and convince others to sign up through our Food & Water Campaign: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "WATER")

Gaza’s water crisis is already catastrophic. Now when, out of complete necessity due to the lack of funding, The Sameer Project is forced to stop our water distributions, it will become unimaginable for the families who depend on us. In the brutal summer heat, water is survival. And without enough donations, we cannot keep bringing it to the communities that need it. Please help Gaza through this manufactured suffering caused by the occupation. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign. Water is life. Without it, there is nothing. But donations have dropped drastically. And we have communities that rely only on us for their drinking water. Help here: On April 3, Translating Falasteen x The Sameer Project team delivered 40,000 liters of fresh drinking water to families across Khan Younis - each camp received 10,000 liters. With infrastructure destroyed and water sources contaminated, families depend on these deliveries to survive. Every day, we provide approximately 400,000 liters of water across Gaza at a subsidized cost of about $15 per 1,000 liters - totaling around $6,000 before commission fees daily. For water alone. For people’s survival. Donate to our Food and Water Campaign to keep water flowing to families who have no other source: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "Water") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "Water")

Did you know that the 2 million Palestinians in Gaza are crammed in 25% of the strip? Many people from Khan Younis were displaced to the Central area making camps extremely overcrowded with multiple families sharing one tent. Finding empty space has become extremely difficult. Six days a week the Sameer Project provides 16,000 liters of water per day in Central Gaza. The salinity of the water coming from each truck is checked before distribution for all our water campaigns. Donate to the South campaign for more water distributions: Other ways to donate include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "South aid") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "South aid")

🚨🚨🚨MASSIVE DROP IN DONATIONS 🚨🚨🚨 We need your help NOW: Across all our campaigns, we are making less than what we need for water alone, which is around $5,700 per day. Since Ramadan, donations to The Sameer Project dropped drastically putting us in a position to reconsider providing less aid. As you can see, water is a huge issue in Gaza and that is why The Sameer Project prioritizes the water initiative above everything else we do. We work with MSF and UNICEF to provide more water for less money. So for around 450,000 liters of water everyday, we only pay $5,700. But even this amount, we are not making at the moment. This is a plea, we beg you to donate and plan fundraisers and events to keep injecting money regularly to support Palestinians in Gaza. The water desalinization plant where our team pumps half the water we deliver from was bombed tonight by the occupation forces. Read that again. Israel bombed one of the only remaining sources of water in the entire North. The plant in Al Tuffah is where most water that is supplied to eastern and central Gaza City comes from. It’s gone. Yesterday we delivered 86,000 liters of water. While we await morning to come for a full picture of the situation we know some things for certain: there will not be enough water for everyone, the price of water per liter will increase from the inability to produce it, and the number of diseases from drinking contaminated water will immediately rise. Please support the Translating Falasteen (Translating Falasteen (Palestine) ) x The Sameer Project North campaign to help us prepare for what is to come after tonight’s attack. Or other options include: (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "North of Gaza aid") (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "North of Gaza aid")

Thanks to your incredible support we’ve been able to do water distributions in Central Gaza for over a month now. We average at 16,000 liters per day and on some days we do 24,000 liters. Support: With the high temperatures in August we are looking to increase the amount in the central area and keep it consistently at 24,000 liters per day. This will support people in Gaza with the high temperatures and extreme dehydration. For that we need your support to provide more water, a lifeline for thousands of people. Video is from the 17th of July where we covered Masdar and Karama in Deir El Balah giving each 8,000 liters.
