When I was in 6th grade we had a field trip to a nuclear power plant. Was really profound. All my life I haven't been able to understand why it wasn't used more. Why it's got a bad name.

I'm signing the Power New Jersey Act to launch the next generation of nuclear energy in our state. This bill creates a competitive process to build new nuclear projects that can power hundreds of thousands of homes. It is reliable, dispatchable, and produces virtually no CO2 - yet many environmental groups oppose new dams. The same contradiction appears with nuclear power. Nuclear produces zero operational CO2, runs 24 hours a day, and uses far less land than wind or solar. If cutting emissions were truly the priority here, the focus would be obvious: Hydropower and nuclear, not endless wind and solar expansion.

The US needs to unleash more domestic baseload power to meet our robust energy and AI goals as a nation. As for offshore wind, it’s an intermittent source of energy that is not a substitute for baseload power. Natural gas, nuclear, coal, etc. can’t be held back, shouldn’t be held back, and, at the Trump EPA, WON’T BE HELD BACK!

Even the CSIRO assumes lower nuclear capital costs for Australia. 2/ '4% of the grid' This figure is also from the 'Smart' Energy Council from dividing 11GW of nuclear capacity by 300GW of renewable capacity. However, Capacity ≠ Generation. 1GW of renewable capacity generates roughly a third of the power of 1GW of nuclear capacity. 3/ 'Not ready til the 2040s' The IAEA predicts it would take 10-15 years for a new to nuclear country to have nuclear power. During this interview with Anthony Albanese the hosts press him on why nuclear power is banned… Albo: “no one is saying that - hey, we want to invest in this [nuclear].
