Officers moved in to initiate a stop, and the vehicle finally pulled over on West 20th Street between Surf Avenue and Mermaid Avenue. The traffic stop escalated immediately. The driver refused to hand over his documents and began arguing with the officer at the window. Inside the car, the passenger quickly realized he had walked into the wrong situation, he had an out-of-state bench warrant and wanted no part of a confrontation with police.
