Thanks to the unbelievable generosity of Jim McLuskey at Enviro-clean and grants from the SFA and SLC we have an excellent new concrete surface on the car park next to the pitch. Vehicles are not allowed on it for 2 weeks to allow it to cure and strengthen. The car park will reopen on Friday 10th July. Until then can we car share, use the car parks at the train station and village and street parking in Graham Avenue. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES can anyone park in the residents car park at Kirkton Gate. I’m sure everyone will agree that for the sake of another 2 weeks of slight disruption to have a car park fit for the next 50 years at Kirktonholme is well worth it.

Three people were arrested at a public meeting on the massive Project Jupiter data center in New Mexico. One arrestee was pushed onto the floor at the meeting by another person, and she is facing charges of resisting or obstructing and disorderly conduct. HAPPENING NOW: Thursday morning, Seattle city crews went on a MEGA SWEEP and cleared out multiple drug encampments at Daejeon Park, Sturgus Park, Lewis Park, and even removed tents at Dr. Jose Rizal Park. This is all happening in the Beacon Hill hood. With the impending sweep, I visited some of the homies last night to find out what they were up to. One guy said he already had a tiny house and was just chilling at the encampment. Another fella said he wouldn't take a tiny house since illegal drug use is allegedly banned. ACP California is out at RFK Community School to clear sidewalks of trash every month. In our most recent cleanup, we focused our efforts at the front area of RFK Inspiration Park. The city continues to neglect the park, leaving trash to accumulate in the fenced-off areas while safety is left unprioritized. Worse still, city officials have no plan to open the park soon, depriving residents of one of the few green spaces in Koreatown. MUMBAI CENTRAL PARK: MLC Satej (Bunty) D. Patil on Tuesday sought clarity from the state government on the proposed Central Park plan, which aims to combine proposed open spaces along the Coastal Road with the Mahalaxmi Racecourse grounds into a nearly 300-acre public park. Patil questioned the proposal to create parking for 6,000 vehicles, asking how such a large number of vehicles would exit the area if the surrounding road network remains the same. He also demanded that the government hold a public hearing and invite suggestions and objections from citizens before moving ahead with the project. Responding to the concerns, Minister Uday Samant said the government has not planned any commercial development within the proposed Central Park. Patil, however, pointed out that the Mumbai Architects Collective had already raised objections to the proposal. On February 20, as many as 102 Mumbai-based architects, designers and planners issued a public statement opposing the proposed redevelopment of the Mahalaxmi Racecourse. In their appeal to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and the civic chief, they warned that any underground construction at the site could permanently damage one of Mumbai’s last large public open spaces.
