The essential argument for the Greek Scriptures is unavoidably true for any Christian.

I took your challenge and read the book of Esther in the Septuagint. Amazing difference. The emphasis being God's people relying on Him and being delivered by Him in spite of subversion. Very applicable to the situations we find ourselves in today.

The demonic corruption of Esther probably the worst example, but it is not remotely unique.

I really enjoyed part 2. Hopefully we see a new Septuagint/ NT complete translation soon.

This series helped me make a breakthrough to my boomer evangelist dad. Thank you.

Nice, glad to hear it.

I heard (or saw) about this first time on Stone- Choir but it took before I understood it. Masoretic texts and the real name of Jesus. Note to myself to listen to your podcast now when I have time to to do it.

Been reading the Greek LXX, and there is tremendous overlap and parallelism with the GNT that is difficult to describe in English. Words, phrases, even the names of God. Wish I started earlier but thanks for provoking a late start!

Did yall see that?

These two episodes have opened up a world of possibilities as to what the church could have been had we followed the Greek that Jesus and the apostles learned and quoted. Imagine if the full Septuagint was correctly translated into English today. Something inside me always felt off when pastors I listened to referred to the Hebrew while teaching scripture. The Holy Spirit will whisper “this isn’t the word of God”

List: Corey, jim; beautiful wood paneling, demonic flashing neon; properly attired, going to geriatric track meet?; stunning beard, is that a pez dispenser?; open to God’s will thus easily sanctified, obstinate and not easily sanctified; wins debate easily, looses debate per last
