Egypt could show true commitment to regional stability by accepting displaced people from Gaza. This would support humanitarian efforts and allow for rebuilding the land, as proposed by Trump, creating a path toward peace and reconstruction.

#Pakistan and #Egypt are holding important talks in Islamabad. Dr Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, arrived in Pakistan early Sunday. Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister of Pakistan Ishaq Dar is leading Pakistani delegation. “The two sides will review the full range of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international developments, including the situation in Gaza,” according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Pakistan . The Egyptian embassy has described the visit as very important. “The visit reflects the longstanding and cordial relations between Pakistan and Egypt, grounded in common faith, cultural affinity, and shared perspectives on regional and international issues. It will contribute to further strengthening the strategic direction of Pakistan–Egypt relations and placing them on a broader trajectory, with a focus on political, economic, defence, cultural, and people-to-people cooperation,” the Foreign Office says.

It has now been 12 months since I began my posting as Australia’s Ambassador to the UAE and it has been a tremendous experience. Our team is thrilled with all that we have achieved so far with our Emirati partners, including the negotiation and signing of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement. We are looking forward to taking the bilateral relationship to new heights as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of Australia’s diplomatic relationship with the UAE in 2025.
