@BioLayne On this topic, @ChrisMasterjohn is a far better sparring partner than Layne — you should have him on

@BioLayne Are there people on this planet who think Norton made a coherent argument here? Once again, Norton is reliant on minimally controlled trials as the only path to knowledge on human nutrition.

@BioLayne Awful episode full of strawman arguments posing as stealman arguments

We have spent millions of years evolving on stable fats, yet we’ve completely replaced them with chemically bleached oils in just a few decades. When these fats oxidize inside your warm body, they trigger a massive wave of internal inflammation that your DNA doesn't even recognize. refined processed foods were engineered to be the true source of every chronic disease we face today, go through the evidence in my pinned post.

@BioLayne Layne is the epitome of how you can have a PHD in a field and completely fail to have any consequences or apply logic to any data. He has been getting it wrong since I first heard of him in 2008.

@BioLayne 👇🏻

@BioLayne so much sophistry to avoid answering the question; Peter fails to address the fallacy and just bends the knee to the angry bird

@BioLayne I am just here for the mental gymnastics of the anti seed oil crowd

@BioLayne Don't blame the seed oils for what the carbs did. Who is drinking seed oils?! Seed oils are mostly found in high carb junk foods. Eat whole foods and seed oils are a non-issue.

@BioLayne Worry less about seed oils. Worry more about ultra-processed food, overeating, and being sedentary.

@BioLayne @BioLayne is not serious. get @TuckerGoodrich on the podcast

@BioLayne olive oil has been around for thousands of years, the health benefits are well known, but stuff made in a factory is suddenly healthier?

@BioLayne Great episode! Honestly, a lot of the time it feels like we over complicate this stuff. When in it comes to food, eating the least processed (including oils) is typically the healthiest. That single razor's edge rule is mostly all you need.

@BioLayne I've heard this "evolution is done with you after you breed" argument before (from vegan influencers) and it is a poor one. Humans evolved longer lives for a social purpose. Longevity IS central to the evolutionary pressures that shaped us.

@BioLayne How about applying pigments and dies under the skin? Any issues?

@BioLayne I am ashamed i bought your book , can i have a refund ?

@BioLayne stupid arguments from layne (who's surprised?) did we change the year-round availability animals like we did with plants? and it's not about getting the *exact* same diet, it's about getting the closest. also your impact on evolution doesn't stop when you're past breeding age.

@BioLayne Why did you exclude Paul from this convo?

@BioLayne There is very few nutrients per calorie in oil. 1 tbsp of oil is = 120 calories . 120 calories × four weeks = 1 pound of body fat. That's 12 pounds a year on your body. 120 calories of kale is loaded with nutrients. Why waste the calories?

@BioLayne What's with the tattoos? Is there an evolutionary argument against them as well?

@BioLayne By this rationale, any ingested product, however harmful- provided that the ill effects to the organism do not impact procreation- isn't worth worrying about. Also, the question of any novel food's value should be "is it beneficial?" not "Is there irrefutable evidence of harm?"

@BioLayne Ridiculous circle jerk this is

@BioLayne

@BioLayne What a bunch of mumbo jumbo this retard Lame Norton is yapping about

@BioLayne There's plenty of single ingredient foods that don't have added oils whatsoever. Why ingest seed oils in the first place, when you don't have to?? If you people just want an excuse to eat junk food, then cool. Go right ahead. Just say that.

@BioLayne Why event eat seed oils in the first place? It's not hard to avoid them and there is enough reason to, if only for the precaution. The same people that argue for statins as a precaution argue against avoiding seed oils, strange.

@BioLayne Wtf is Norton talking about here? “The cows are different than they used to be…” Humans eat cows. Humans do not eat rapeseeds. You do not have to chemically extract oil from cows in order to make it edible.

@BioLayne He's gonna die on that sword isn't he!?

@BioLayne @BioLayne is not a serious thinker

@BioLayne I'm not "anti" seed oils. I just don't eat them, haven't since 1980s. I use extra virgin olive oil and butter for the most part, plus some coconut and MCT. Convince me that I am missing out on something essential/valuable/beneficial.

@BioLayne Appeals to nature are foolish. Harnessing nature is why there are billions of us living to old age. Starvation was largely solved and now we are in the age of over nutrition.

@BioLayne Your advice has always been a bit 💩and now we know why. You and Lame Norton are sub optimal people with suboptimal morals who have an agenda and something to shill. From all the people you have belittled and smeared. Karma.
