Living in San Francisco for four years after undergrad was one of the greatest pleasures of my life. I can’t think of a city more fit for Cinema. Bullitt, featuring Steve McQueen, is an inseparable part of SF’s history. A defining film for The Bay. What a film- what a city.

Quentin Tarantino’s best film came out 7 years ago this exact day. That’s right, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood is QT’s best film. I have so many incredibly fond memories of seeing this movie. This is the last film I saw in San Francisco before moving to Los Angeles. It was then the first film I saw upon moving to LA. My dad & I saw this at the Cinerama Dome, which we’ve learned this week is reopening in 2028. The only thing missing? A new Tarantino film.

I could only give After the Hunt two stars. This feels exactly like a two-star film largely because the tone of this story is totally off, in addition to the fact this is just a boring movie. I’m disappointed with Luca Guadagnino. I love him dearly but this film was a misfire.
