The fact that the door guard didn't even recognize Stringer really shows how much he'd distanced himself from the street side of the organization. Really sets the tone for this scene. This scene perfectly illustrates where Slim fits in the ranks without actually saying it. High up enough to... stay in the room for a real argument between Avon and Stringer, low down enough not to say a single word during it. Stringer said "do I gotta remind you who you work for" And then Avon came in to remind him who he works for. The irony of how the street guys are telling the businessman how it’s bad for business to kill a politician. Very underrated. "who we hittin?" without missing a beat. slim Charles was cold.
