@DESTINOOOOOOOO1 Zuko has several monologues about being the underdog throughout the series but still finds his way to being one of the champions that toppled the Empire because he learnt from his uncle to trust in the strength of his comrades as much as his own

I thought it was a common take that Zuko’s greatest strengths were not as a bender but as a Martial Artist and Capacity for growth

Like don’t get me wrong he worked hard, and it’s cool how he incorporated what his uncle taught him into his firebending. But he was the only ordinary dude in the gaang. Man 😭n

Zuko's character arc was never about being the strongest. His goat status got nothing to do with his combat feats (despite him having some)

Zuko's actually a pretty exceptional bender if he was hanging around literally ANYONE ELSE, but the Gaang? Straight up trash unfortunately 😔

Azula lost against Iroh and Zuko on the boat, matched a sleep deprived Aang, lost 1v1 to Aang on the Drill, losing 1v1 to Katara only saved by Zuko's betrayal, blown off a Cliff by Zuko 1v1, losing to Zuko then lost to Katara 1v1 cometboosted. Azula is all statements, no feats.

well, the main point about Zuko isn't his bending habilities, is his redemption arc, so yeah, he's bending is weak but he's still top written characters ✨
