I have an uncle who is exactly like this a man who prides himself on being a straight-talker with absolutely no filter. Nobody likes him because he confuses being brutally honest with having no sense of responsibility. He doesn’t work, doesn’t pay his children’s school fees, spends his time drinking, and talks trash about everyone else. It’s easy to preach the truth about other people’s lives when you can’t even get your own life in order.
