Apple has announced the opening of a new office in Dublin, which will have capacity for 300 employees. This will be the first Apple office in the capital. In an exclusive interview with Newstalk Technology Correspondent Jess Kelly, Kristina Raspe, Apple VP of Places and Cathy Kearney, VP of European Operations explained this new office will complement the Cork campus where some 6,000 people are employed.

$AMZN stock has been punished for the $200B in capex planned for 2026, which will push free cash flow negative this year. Many investors see the spending, but not the timing. As Andy Jassy explained, the $200B being invested today will only start generating meaningful revenue after 18–24 months. This means we haven’t even seen the full impact of the 2025 capex yet. The capacity is being built now, but the revenue will come later. And despite this, $AMZN and other hyperscalers are already reporting outstanding earnings. Between the second half of 2027 and early 2028, the revenue and margin expansion will be massive. We are so early.

This will cut journey times, modernise tracks on both routes, and ensure the new hourly Belfast–Dublin service continues to be funded into the future! I want to commend our Sinn Féin Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins, the Irish Government, and our European partners, who have worked together to deliver a total investment of nearly €1 billion in all-Ireland rail in recent months.
