This looks soo good! It would be great for kids learning sight words too. I've been building a platforming sight word learning game for my six year old with fable

Congratulations man, hope it works out for you 🎉 I have to admit, you lost me as soon as it was about learning languages 😅

Fair enough 😂

I'll be completely honest, I was really looking forward to trying your game, and then I watched the video and saw the languages and was like, oops, I'm out 😅 But I also have to admit that I like the overall idea of combining playing a game with learning something. That's actually pretty cool 👍

Here's the issue: Monetizing a pure game is hard Monetizing a tool for learning a language is easier Just comes down to business decision

Yeah, I can see that. If you want it to be more than just a fun project, it totally makes sense. Maybe there are different use cases later on as well, like people can choose different things to learn, but I think you probably already have it on your list.

Vibe coding my old game while in Crete, Greece

So good! Also it can be backwards for Spanish speakers to learn English. NY Taxi 🚕 😂👍

🤔

Congrats! You need to update your URLs though

Oh, good catch, thanks

So it was to learn.. spainish !? 🤯

Make sure the LL is pronunced right, it sounds "Amarilo" instead of "Amarillo". LL in spanish is like a Y.

This is a cool idea will it support more than just Spanish? If so how are you insuring accuracy of the lessons?

It's just Spanish Specifically Mexican Spanish The whole game is based around that sole premise From the vocho (the icon green VW beetle taxi) to the level themes and brand "El Taxico" No intention of building out any other language unless this proves successful Right now it was a fun project. Now we see if it has a market.

That’s awesome, are you fluent in it for the accuracy part? I’m learning a second language and wanted to build a learning app for it.

wow

Going from a single prompt to a live app store game is a solid proof of concept for vibe coding.

Actually magic is not fable 5 , your idea so cool

El taxico 😍 love the learning twist you gave it

Love the concept. Did Fable 5 handle all the asset generation too, or just the code?

@PaulSolt This is so fun lol

I've dowloaded and tried the game. That's a genuinely an interesting concept. I would like to be taught the word before i need to find them. I find there is something lacking there in the game. Also there is a bug where it is frozen looking for the word one at the beginning.

I think this is a great game mechanic that may never reach its full potential. Making games is hard, I know that from my own project, but I feel like you’ve boxed a really strong mechanic into a very niche space.

Taxico does not sound Spanish at all! But congrats on your launch 🚀

I’d be curious to see how the Ads perform of this one compared to your apps. Being former ios Gamedev it seems all the largest mobile game companies put soo much into Ads! After that it’s just the dopamine gambling loop to keep you in.

@loverofapps I’m glad you didn’t call it Lazy Taxi

I don’t play games at all - But I can confirm this was fun 😁 It came out great

You are even better at Game development than App Development Adam 😅 really good twist on this type of a game, love it! Whatever I tried I never managed to make Fable make graphics so good. Unsure if it was just too inspired when you showed it game example 😅

We’ll see if it translates to revenue though I really love making games but finding a business model here is tricky

I would guess consumables are worth a try? Either way, could be interesting to see how it fares on the store. It looks really good and seems like a proper way to introduce fun into learning a language. Makes me wanna re-do one game I had in my language app but never posted it as it was too basic. Maybe Fable can help with that :)

Congrats 😁 and just spot the missing urls on the description 😅

🤦♂️

I build a flag coloring game for colorblind son and I'd love to know your thoughts on it, built with accessibility in mind for my son and now sharing with everyone 😁

Brutal ideaaa

looks clean 🔥

Cool. And for those looking for an actual app that can get you all the way to fluency. I made

What do I have to do to get you to share the prompts ?

wait, so fable 5 can just... watch a toy and turn it into a playable game? that's wild

Wow, this is awesome

Looks great

It looks somehow like playful ads

How the hack they approved this? 😂

how much input is there from you though? will some non-dev be able to achieve the same result?

I did wrote 0 code on this Most of the expertise came from learning how to explain what I wanted And terminology commonly used for film directing was more useful than anything technical Like wide shots, dolly shots, etc

Getting a fully vibe coded game live on the store is a real milestone.

Looks great Adam, Congrats on the launch
