#KAI's #KF21Boramae project is one of the rare instances in jet development history where every process, from planning to manufacturing, has proceeded without delays or accidents. Here's hoping this record continues through the remaining timeline. #JetDevelopment #OnSchedule

In 2026, #KAI's #KF21Boramae Block 1 will be deployed as a multirole fighter with full air-to-air and partial air-to-ground/surface capabilities. All units will receive software upgrades to Block 2 by 2032, evolving into fully capable multirole fighters. #FighterJets #Multirole

#ROKAF's acquisition of 120 #KF21Boramae units by 2032 will complete its H-M-L fighter mix: High – F-35A, F-15K | Medium – KF-21, KF-16 | Low – FA-50, KF-5. This strategic mix will optimize mission flexibility and readiness. #FleetPortfolio #MissionFlexibility

For clarification, the development of the KF-21 Boramae Block 2 is expected to be completed by 2028. I’m referring to the full fleet of 120 aircraft acquired and upgraded to Block 2 for the Republic of Korea Air Force. #KAI #KF21Boramae #ROKAF

BTW, this video from #KAI is oddly entertaining—#KF21Boramae has never shown off its fuselage from this angle before. Feels like KAI is casually flexing, ‘Check out all this space we’ve already set aside for the future internal bay! 🚀’ #KF21EX #Block3

Hey Hwarang, do you know if this first produced KF-21 have or will have one or all of the pieces agreed with KAI to be manufacture by SEMAN Peru? if not, any idea if this production will have them in the future?

Probably not for those being manufactured right now. However, once the production lines are fully operational, there should always be a possibility to incorporate them. That’s why KAI is diversifying its parts suppliers to stabilize the supply chain.

A Breakthrough in Robotics: Spherical Gears Enter Mass Production Spherical gears, the kind of joint that would allow a robot to move like a human shoulder, have been notoriously difficult to manufacture with high precision. That's changing, thanks to a new design and a path to mass production that could have a huge impact on robotics. The breakthrough comes from a new design called the ABENICS spherical gear, developed by researchers at Yamagata University. This innovative mechanism enables a joint to move in three degrees of freedom without the slippage issues of earlier designs. It achieves this by using a "cross-spherical gear" that meshes with one or more "monopole gears." Mass production is now on the horizon. Although the initial manufacturing of the gears was inefficient, Nissei Corporation improved the process and established the necessary technology. The companies Kanematsu and Nissei have now entered the marketing phase, with production expected to begin in 2027. The impact of this technology is significant. Mass-produced spherical gears are expected to enable highly versatile and efficient robotic limbs. ► Humanoid and Mobile Robots: The design allows for compact, high-torque ball joints ideal for creating versatile and efficient robotic limbs. ► Aerospace: Potential applications include deployment mechanisms for satellite solar panels. ► Other Industries: The technology is also being explored for its potential to enhance productivity in healthcare, nursing care, and restaurants.
