🚨 Gaganyaan IADT-02 Completed!! ISRO has successfully conducted the 2nd Integrated Air-Drop Test (IADT) of Gaganyaan on today morning after the first one in August 2025! 🔥 The aim of this test was to validate the parachutes and other recovery systems on board Gaganyaan that are necessary for safely landing the Crew Module on Earth upon its return from orbit. In this test, the Crew Module, weighing in at 5.7 tons, was lifted by a Chinook aircraft and dropped from an altitude of 3 km over the Bay of Bengal near the Sriharikota coast. The Crew Module subsequently slowed itself down autonomously using a series of drogue and main parachutes, followed by a soft splashdown in the sea.

During this taxi test, the aircraft is fully controlled from the ground control station. The test verifies the correct integration and performance of the braking system, steering function, navigation sensors, and commands from the control station itself. Why is this key? It confirms the seamless interaction between hardware, software, and vehicle dynamics. South Korea has successfully completed the first fully successful flight test of the KALCM Cheonryong (Korean Air-Launched Cruise Missile), which is expected to become the primary long-range strike weapon of the future KF-21 Boramae multirole fighter. On June 25, the missile was launched for the first time from an FA-50 light combat aircraft. After separation, it successfully ignited its main engine, stabilized its flight, and completed the entire test profile as planned. The successful flight comes after two unsuccessful attempts in January and March, when the missiles crashed into the sea due to failures in the ignition of the main propulsion engine following launch.
