The first quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction on mainnet was quite expensive to execute. But this tx was about proving it could be done, not optimizing it for production yet. The good news is that we could drastically reduce this cost if we see real demand for it.

The most important isn't the price of doing it but that it works! 🚀

The 'first quantum-safe Bitcoin transaction' is a notable proof of concept.

The cost is only one constraint. The first QSB transaction was also non-standard under default relay policy, so it had to be submitted directly to MARA via Slipstream rather than propagate through the normal mempool. That makes this a compelling proof of concept, but not yet a permissionless production path.

The first step is proving it works, optimization comes next.

All technologies are expensive at first. I could've bought a nice gaming laptop with the money I spent in my first bluray recorder.
