Alice Schroeder on Warren Buffett during the dot-com bubble. "I asked him one time how he felt about this barrage of criticism that he was receiving in the press. This was the first time I got any kind of insight into the personality of Warren — what he was like — because up until then I had only known him as an investor and a businessman." "When I asked him how did he feel about this siege of criticism, he said, 'It never gets better. It always hurts just as much as the first time.'" "It was really remarkable that he could withstand this [and] not change his investing style at all." (Microsoft || 2008)

Quentin Taratino said Lawrence Fishburne’s performance in King of New York was so incredible he thought - “he could be the greatest actor of his generation”. He explains: "As great as Christopher Walken is in this movie. To me, it's Larry Fishburne's movie - it was the rock that becomes a diamond aspect of the movie. It's why I could defend this movie against all comers, because to me, Fish's performance in this movie was comparable to a young Brando. It was the most exciting performance by an actor of his generation that I'd seen in a movie of that time. And I thought, well, that's it. There is a new Marlon Brando, and his name is Larry Fishburne - it was amazing, it was mesmerizing… He is the first hip hop gangster in movie history. That character had never been done before this. He invented that character. And he invented it as something to do. It wasn't in the original script. He came up with that himself… The three big Fishburne moments to me, is his opening sequence with…Tito. That's it, with Tito - black glove dude. And his reunion with Frank. And then it's the chicken scene (see below). Those are his three big arias. Not only that though - expressions that I would later hear for the rest of the decade, I actually heard for the first time in that scene. I'd never heard the expression; “I'll slap the black off you” before. That was the first time I heard it when Fish says it to Snipes. I've since heard it many times… And that was actually the first time I ever heard, “fuck you very much”. And I would proceed to hear that for the rest of the 90s. But those were the first times I'd ever heard those expressions… As terrific as he has been in other things - the level of excitement that I had over him when this movie was over, I have never had that excitement again. I thought, with this, he could be the greatest actor of his generation. That was an actual, real fucking thing. He could be the greatest actor of his generation after seeing this." LA Incident 🐰 When in LA, myself, byulie, hairstylist, the 3 of us and 2 male managers. 5 of us were walking on the streets, 3 of us girls were walking at the front and both male managers were at the back. The was a guy opposite us, in a blink of an eye, he suddenly appeared on our side. I was like 'huh?' , he was holding onto a chair over his shoulders, I was like 'huh?' And then suddenly, that guy started swearing in english. And the suddenly, he threw the chair at me, so I got hit by the chair, he threw it towards the ground near me and I got hit. That was the first time in my life that that has happened to me. I had the thought that he was a weird person, both of us don't even k ow each other. So I got hit and both managers came forward and stopped him, and then he just left. I was so shocked! That was the first time in my life that that has happened to me, I was so flustered and I was like 'Oh..... what was that....' That person just suddenly threw a chair at me, I didn't even scream in shock I was just like 'Oh.....? What was that....?'. That happened a few days ago, and the chair was a wooden chair, so it broke when he threw it and I had a bruise on my leg but it's not there now. I was so flustered at that time and didn't even felt the pain. Something like this actually happened... #MAMAMOO #SOLAR #마마무 #솔라

DJ Akademiks recalls the first time he and Drake ever spoke, revealing that it was over a situation involving XXXTentacion: "The first time I ever spoke to Drake, that's how I knew how powerful X's fanbase was." "Me and Drake had never spoke before. It was one day when X was going crazy and I posted it up, and Drake wanted to clarify that he wasn't getting at X, and he first reached out to me. It was because of XXXTentacion."

Lil Wayne tells the story of how he ended up signing both Drake & Nicki Minaj, saying he knew right away that they had something special: "When I heard him, it was all rap. Then, one of those hooks came in and I was like, 'Who's on the hook?' And they was like, 'That's him.' And I was like, 'That's the guy? That's him singing? Why he ain't do more of this?'" "It was instant. Like, come on, man. And, at that time, there was no one doing that sh*t." (Via Friends Keep Secrets)

This man said he was glad that Charlie Kirk was m*rdered but not for the reason you would expect. Take the time to watch this. It’s very powerful. I know I speak for so many of you when I say as horrible and heartbreaking as his death was a lot of good came out of it.

Aliana Lopez says her first adult film was also her first experience with a Black guy, calling it the biggest and most exciting adventure of her life: "My first scene I ever shot, I was like so nervous in the makeup chair, and I was like oh my gosh, like am I really doing this?" "I was like scared and whatever, and then as soon as that camera started rolling, I was like this is where I am meant to be, right here on this couch." "What scene was it, was it like a girl girl or?" "It was a boy girl, and it was a black guy, and it was also the first time I had ever fucked a black guy." "I was so excited for all of it, all of this is so new and exciting, and I have got this big black cock, and I am shooting porn, and I am in LA." "I came from Utah, and it just was like the biggest adventure of my life." "Still sometimes when I am doing that drive to LA from Utah, I will have like a flashback of the first time I drove out in my 2001 Honda Accord that could like barely make it to LA to shoot my first porn scene."

This is the first and only time, Tyrion was acknowledged by Tywin, I bet he was so glad he heard that sentence, "You are my son". I can't believe Tywin didn't know Tyrion was a brilliant half man.

Jeff Teague says he was messaging a girl on Facebook as a rookie and his head coach called him into the office to say thanks Teague: "When I was a rookie, this when Facebook was hot. I was Facebooking Wood's daughter. I didn't know it was his daughter. She was writing me, we was cool." "Wood called me in the office one day, 'Come here, young fella.' He's talking about how I was a good young man, all this stuff, and he was like, I don't mind you talking to my daughter, I heard you guys are friends. And I froze up, like, who's your daughter?" "He said his daughter's name and I was just sitting in the chair like, oh… So I go tell Bib and Joe, yo, I didn't know that was his daughter, and it was like, 'you idiot.'" Bibby: "He trying to get playing time."

Justin Gaethje says he didn’t realize how badly Ilia’s face was damaged during the fight 😳 "I never saw his face. I saw when I hit him with the uppercut, he reached for his eye, and I saw blood. I was like, "Sweet." That was in the first round, and that was it. That's all I remember, really. Outside of that, I sat down in the corner after the fourth round, and I was like, "Was that the third or fourth round?" And then my coach in the corner was like, "It's over, it's over." And I was like, "What?" So I didn't even know that he was compromised like that. I had no idea." via: Flagrant Podcast

Hero hockey dad describes the harrowing split second decisions he made to tackle the deranged trans shooter at a Pawtucket arena. Michael Black told Katie Pavlich he first thought the gunshots were balloons popping — when he realized what was happening, he told his wife: “Run! Run!” BLACK: “We were at the event, family event. “Felt I heard two balloons, kind of peeked around, heard a third pop, but there was no balloon in front of me.” “When I looked forward and around, I saw a gun being pointed at the family that was sitting in the second row.” “And the first thing that I said, my wife was sitting next to me with some friends, I said: ’Run! Run!” “And she started running and if you see the video, I kind of waited about one second because I was kind of waiting for a spot.” “And then as soon as it kind of got clear, the shooter was leaning over and I kind of jumped on that 4th railing and jumped down.” “As I jumped, I was reaching for the gun. My focus was the gun, so I grabbed the…I put the hand on the gun, out my other hand and tried to land on top of his body.” “And as the process, he was shooting and one of the shells as I was jumping, hit me in the face.” “And then my hand got caught in the gun.”

I remember when this man came for a program in my city, he preach on revival fire While he was still preaching, (there was this cloud that filled the house, I don't know if anyone else saw it but it was heavy) As he began to minister, I was at one corner where the ministers sat and I began to pray calmly, this man moved from the stage to where I was and placed his hand on me, oh, what an experience it was😭😭😭 There are some encounters that words can't explain. I was under the power of the Holy Ghost till this man finished and was about going. Thank God for Rev. Mosy
