At a Q&A, John MacArthur is asked about Christian nationalism. The kingdom of God is not of this world. Jesus said that. He said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would [fight].” His kingdom is not of this world. The kingdom of this world is a separate world; they’re not linked together. Let me say it another way: Nothing that happens in any nation, whether it’s a Communist nation, a Muslim nation, or a “quasi-Christian” nation, or an atheistic nation—nothing in that nation politically, socially has anything to do with the advancement of the kingdom of God, because the kingdom of God is separate from that system. God, in His sovereignty, is building His church, “and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it,” Jesus said. So the idea that you should link up some political effort, some political process, some social process, some gain of power or influence in a culture as part of the advance of Christianity is alien to Christianity. You never have our Lord approaching anything like that, nor the apostles, and particularly the apostle Paul. He sought to gain no favor with the Roman Empire whatsoever, or for that matter, with any other of the rulers that he ran into during his life. Now, that is not to say that we are indifferent to what happens in the nation. We’ve been talking about that the last couple of Sunday mornings. We have to be the people who uphold righteousness. When we come to vote, we want to vote for that which is the most righteous option. Obviously, we can’t vote in righteousness, but we have to vote in a way that reflects our commitment to the righteousness of God. So we couldn’t possibly elect somebody who was an abortionist, somebody who was LGBTQ or LGBTQ-affirming, or any other deviation from God’s righteous moral standard. So it gets harder, doesn’t it, nowadays, because even sometimes when politicians are more conservative and anti-abortion, they may be sinful and wicked in some other categories, and it’s very hard to find out who is really honest and who is simply dishonest and seeking power. But in the end, we do what we can with the understanding that the responsibility of the church is not to advance the kingdom of this world. That’s a faulty viewpoint. Christian nationalism is usually tied to what is called post-millennialism, and that is the view that the church, somehow, by influencing the culture, can bring in the kingdom of Christ. In other words, it’s the idea not that Christ returns and sets up His kingdom, but that the church establishes His kingdom and then hands it to Him. That is not what Scripture teaches. What Scripture teaches is what we’re learning from the book of Revelation. Things are going to get worse and worse and worse. And the end of human history is not the church triumphant, reigning in the world and taking over the structures of human kingdoms; that’s not what happens. At the end of human history, the believers are persecuted and murdered, and that’s the very opposite of what Christian nationalism would anticipate. So we believe the Bible teaches that things get worse and worse, headed toward the wrath of God, which we’re seeing in Revelation, and then our Lord returns, Himself, to establish His kingdom is clearly what we read in the book of Revelation. I upset the Orthobros on here when I posted that the Wilsons aren’t Christian. They said “how dare you declare whether or not someone is a Christian!” Here is my response (watch til the end for the most ironic part of all of this): Scripture itself tells us that it is OBVIOUS who is saved and that we can discern who is and who is not a child of God. “By this the children of God and the children of the devil are OBVIOUS: anyone who does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor the one who does not love his brother and sister.” 1 John 3:10 Yes, Christians will still continue to sin, as Romans 7 tell us. Sanctification is certainly messy, there’s no denying that. But someone who has been supernaturally made new by the Holy Spirit will have a real heart change. Regeneration is not an inconsequential experience. It will be obvious to people. The supernatural work of the Holy Spirit is a powerful one. Someone who is made a child of God will bear the family resemblance. No one can be born again and continue to comfortably stay in the mud with the pigs. They might occasionally still fall into the mud, they might still have dirt on their clothes even after they get up, but they will hate it when they do and will live in a humble manner before God crying “have mercy on me, a sinner.” They will pursue righteousness and have a deep deep love for others. And when they are confronted about their sin by others, they repent. So yes, we can look at someone living in a hateful unrighteous arrogant manner for years on end, even after being confronted about it, and determine that they are not of the Lord.

That part is undeniable. This video talks about what could happen. None of us know for sure. But with so many unknown people entering our country, the possibility makes some people uneasy. Regardless of what happens, the most important thing is this: Be watchful. Be prepared. And stay ready for the day of our Lord. 🙏

Cringe! Paula White paralleled Trump to Jesus, saying: “Mr. President, no one has paid the price like you have paid the price. It almost cost you your life. You were betrayed and arrested and falsely accused. It’s a familiar pattern that our Lord and Savior showed us but it didn’t end there for Him, and it didn’t end there for you. And I believe that the Lord said to tell you this: because of His victory, you will be victorious in all you put your hands to.” If that doesn’t make you cringe, the comparison, the parallel to the Messiah, then I’m not sure what will. Especially that prosperity declaration at the end, that you will be successful in all that you put your hand to. We don’t have any guarantee of that. We have no promise of that in Scripture. We’ve been given no promise of that by God Himself. I hope that Trump is successful in the things that are righteous and good, but the comparison to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords to Jesus Christ is just unnecessary and simply not true. Let’s just not do that. And let’s not “name it and claim it” either because that’s not something we have the right, the authority, or the guidance to do.

𝔚𝔥𝔦𝔱𝔢𝔅𝔢𝔞𝔯𝔡 hits on a fundamental reason why I am a Protestant, here. I have faith in the person and work of Christ! I have faith that the prophets and the apostles wrote God’s inspired words in Scripture. I do not have faith in the infallibility of councils, nor popes, nor in the traditions that arose hundreds of years after the apostles died by any historical standard. There is nothing in Scripture which demands of me, “do not believe your lying eyes!” Yet so many extra-biblical traditions demand exactly that. For instance, I have no interest in trying to justify the claims of Second Nicaea from squinting at obscure 4th century texts in exactly the right light while ignoring the mountain of early patristic (and biblical) evidence against it. Am I then obligated to anathematize Christians who disagree with these ahistorical claims? No, I don’t think that I will. The vast history of Christianity over the last 2,000 years is a wonderful servant to the Church today! But a terrible master.

𝔚𝔥𝔦𝔱𝔢𝔅𝔢𝔞𝔯𝔡 hits on a fundamental reason why I am a Protestant, here. I have faith in the person and work of Christ! I have faith that the prophets and the apostles wrote God’s inspired words in Scripture. I do not have faith in the infallibility of councils, nor popes, nor in the traditions that arose hundreds of years after the apostles died by any historical standard. There is nothing in Scripture which demands of me, “do not believe your lying eyes!” Yet so many extra-biblical traditions demand exactly that. For instance, I have no interest in trying to justify the claims of Second Nicaea from squinting at obscure 4th century texts in exactly the right light while ignoring the mountain of early patristic (and biblical) evidence against it. Am I then obligated to anathematize Christians who disagree with these ahistorical claims? No, I don’t think that I will. The vast history of Christianity over the last 2,000 years is a wonderful servant to the Church today! But a terrible master.

Tucker Carlson: 🚨 The Republican Party Completely betrayed its voters by Obsessing over Israel… what is this? “It’s a country of 9 million people.. I’m not against Israel, but why is it at the center of our conversation? It’s only strategic value is to the extent that we have to defend Israel. But take that out and there’s no value at all. “I do not believe that 1948 Israel is a biblical prophecy fulfillment.” How is that possible when Scripture prophesied that Israel will be physically regathered for judgment? Scripture tells us that God will gather, judge, and purify Israel and also that Israel will be hardened until the fullness of gentiles come in. I have no idea which part of that Christians like Carrie find egregious or “Jewish supremacist;” we’re literally talking about Israel being judged by God for disobedience and unbelief. And frankly I don’t care which part she finds offensive because what matters isn’t our opinion on God’s word. But mostly, it seems like people like her don’t even know it’s in the Bible. To me, it seems like we’re in the physical regathering of Israel and have been since 1948—which comes before the spiritual regathering.

Here is the play in question by Ryan, and as much as this is obvious that the catcher didn't secure this ... the rule in place for scorers is if a thorw BOUNCES, it is a throwing error. I do not like applying this in this type of instance on a throw from the outfield, but right now that's how the rule reads. Only the committee can change it on appeal, and they would have to do that against the writter rule (to the consternation of those in charge I'm certain). But letter of the law ... the throwing error is correct.

This is the correct response to what’s happening to Erika Kirk and what’s happening on the pro-Hamas Eurasianist slop “right.” And if more people have the courage to say this, I’m talking about people who are doing podcasts and who have lots and lots of viewers, we would be in a different place, but because you have a lot of people who are morally bankrupt they remain silent and pretend like that is the high ground. It’s not because your soul is not worth it a check. And if you are silent in the face of evil, that is the same thing as evil itself and God will not hold you blameless. I may not know a lot, but I definitely know that.
