Happy Freewheelin’ day, Melanie! 💕

And the same to you, Sergio! ❤️

check out the vocals in this song

Nbd first listened to in ‘25 (feel like if didn’t have a full knowledge about Bob Dylan by a certain time something’s off w/your timeline - musically, I was wandering in the wilderness for a minute) just feeling grateful now ❤️ need a boot camp cram scenario

You have found him when you needed to find him. This is what I believe happens to everyone who becomes a Dylan fan. It's certainly what happened to me. I'm enjoying watching you get to know his music. And what a song this is—for all ages, for all time. ❤️

I love his singing here, the way he gives a beautiful lilt to the chorus, I hear it fresh. Makes me fall in love with him again. Where was this performance?

Me too, Robin. From what I can gather, it was for WBC-TV, and it was his first US national television appearance. It was recorded in March 1963, but wasn’t broadcast until May.

My first Dylan album.

My favorite Dylan album!

My favourite album of all time.

It would be another 15 years before I saw Bob for the first time at The "Picnic" at Blackbushe 1978 - UK Rock Festivals. If only I had lived in the USA back then as I would have loved to see the Rolling Thunder Revue in 75 / 76 😎
