There is a rule in combat, it’s the KISS Rule, it mitigates Murphy’s Law. This violates the KISS Rule, and will absolutely invite the wrath of Murphy. No-Go at this station, go back to start, retrain, do better.

Now show me how it works when the user is crawling through mud on their stomach.

This is a pretty old video and honestly not a new concept. There are so many issues with this. weight, can snag on obstacles, lying prone would be difficult and uncomfortable, assembly and disassembly is far more time consuming than just having a sling on the rifle.

Some engineer had too much time in his cubicle with his ergonomic work station?

In real combat, that rig would be an impairment and hamper rapid movement. I'll pass.

That’s a new level of fat, if you can’t simply hold up your own rifle. 😂

That’s cute. —- Or we could lift heavy shit often, so that your rifle feels lighter.

Does it also make you bullet-proof? coz standing up in a battlefield will sure make you an easy target

That's going to wake you up if you fall on it. How jammed up does it get in tall grass and mud?

That's not new thats a camera stabilizer arm the idea to mount a gun on it became popular after the movie Aliens used one for their space marine machine gunners even the army tested it and found you can't go prone so they never used it.

sorry but the concept isn't going to work as shown here. think exoskeleton with augmented stability... like a gun grip that also slides to aid in recoil recovery... shock absorber in rifle butts and so forth. a full exoskeleton would be able to help you carry an addition 100+lbs

Seems like proof of concept, an iteration which will be refined further. A possible fusion with exo skeleton.
