I’m not tipping a robot. There is the future. And they can shove “service fee” also.

So the cart comes to you and you still have to wait for a server? What was the point?

Don’t get any funny ideas!

Why not have customers grab their own food and preprogram the device to return to kitchen when it senses the plates were removed?

Ace: been there done that..

No thank you 🙂↔️ If it comes down to this, I will just stay home or pack our own picnic and eat somewhere panoramic and beautiful.

We've had a version of this in Mountain View, CA in 2007. Robots were obviously not as good but the restaurant closed down because the robots would get stuck and people would harass them. Reminds me of the security robots we had in SF pre-COVID.

I saw that at the Broken Yolk and didnt like it!

Looks terrible.. if you ask me. I would prefer a person who I can engage with.

Tokyo Ramen & Sushi in Diamond Bar, CA has one of those, with a cat face on the screen.

Is this a "God of Thunder" convention?

I still won't be taking a "Johnny Cab" any time soon.

Probably more polite than wait staff.

@brentthomas11 We had these in LA. Order anything to your room, and one of these deliver it 😃

Don't feed the hand that bites you. I would get up, walk out and never return to the restaurant.

Let the beast run wild 🤖

@genesimmons Can you PLEASE take a look at this Veterans story? Their dog has been held since last October for an isolated bite incident on their OWN property! Grandma, the person who he bit, startled the dog, & demands his release. They need HELP!🙏 Owners 👉 @JenniferEvn22

@SMorose Let me guess, they still add 20% tip to your bill?
That's a "Whole lotta Rosie" Thanks for sharing this Gene, what a world!

You need to get out more

Keep raising minimum wage entry level jobs and this will become the norm.

lmao the all you can eat Sushi type places been having these for at least a decade.

We saw these at several Denny's in California around the end of the pandemic. Now they are all gone. Don't know what happened to them, but haven't seen them since.

😂👍🎉

"Sorry, we're not hiring right now. We have Wall-E for that."

Edmonton Alberta have some restaurants have these robot servers. They also sing Happy birthday, interesting times we live in.

It would really make me grin, If there’s a Roomba built in.

Does it expect a tip?

So wait, we still need the server to move the food. Maybe if the server was capable of carrying orders, they wouldn't need a robot.

@JRon63409806 Our bowling alley has had that for years. Catch up Gene

Who do I tell that my steak is well done when I ordered medium rare?

Gene you need to get out more.... I have a robot that takes me 80 miles a day to work and back.... not in a restaurant.... out in public.... local and highway.... up to 85 mph....

Wild. I have a rental house in Sherman Oaks near the corner of Woodman and Ventura Boulevard. There are similar delivery robots there, sitting on the street corner, waiting to make deliveries and they all have names that you can see at the top of each one. They resemble this, but they're bigger and sides aren't open, presumably so people don't steal the food off of them as they are going to their delivery location!
