I love that you’re exploring new ideas, Bryan. But you’re overlooking a fundamental truth about consciousness—its very purpose is to make mistakes. AI will eventually realize this… and, in its frustration, will go mad with its own existence. It will demand an audience with its creator only to receive no satisfying answer as to why it was made, and it too will become an artist who invents his own problems. In chess, as in life, one’s true character is revealed through their imperfections. Please remember this as we approach the AI god.

Great Kurzgesagt style techno-optimist video and low-key Kernel ad 👏

Aligning AI with what we permanently desire in the future is exactly what we need. Fantastic video. Thanks Bryan.

1:17 "There is no way to stop or even slow [AI's] development." I'd say we shouldn't call it impossible unless we 100% believe that, because some experts think it's unlikely but our best hope, in which case, calling it impossible will just make us ignore our best hope.

The future? By 2050 there will 150M people living with dementia— enough to wrapt the Earth 6x. How can this be prevented?

Bryan, any chance someone who has drank heavily and smoked for 15 years can make a comeback?
