Did you know that AI companies are buying books by the thousands, using them to train chatbots, and then destroying the books?

I agree companies should be able to scan books without destroying them, but in what universe would banning physical books be realistic? Sounds like fear mongering to me. Also, you have to consider physical books that don’t have any digital copies and would otherwise be lost forever when they decay.

@manushak17 I approach this kind of information with great caution. I don't dismiss it, but I don't blindly accept it as true either. We know there are many opponents of AI, and they are determined to discourage people.
