The GENIUS Act has solid bipartisan support and makes sense for stablecoin regulation. But tying it to the more controversial CCCA could mess the whole thing up. Let’s keep them separate and not risk derailing stablecoin regulation.

Right on! 👍 in fact, Congress should practice single issue acts more often. Attaching unrelated or controversial issues to important legislation is irresponsible and makes one wonder who they are representing? It doesn’t sound like it’s “the people!!!”

I agree. The CCCA has been waiting for approval since 2022. Definitely keep em separate. Keep the focus on crypto.

crypto currency is fraud. it represents no true value. Just life the fiat federal reserve note. Also all banking is fraud. they loan out what they don't own and what doesn't exist and expect more in return.

I'll never support anything that is not gold-backed paper currency. If it's electronic, it can be hacked. If it's electronic, it can be manipulated. If it's Electronic, they can CONTROL YOU. Switching to a digital currency will be the nail in the coffin for America and the world.

Stablecoin regulation is a bipartisan issue, and the GENIUS Act reflects bipartisan consensus. Thanks to Senator Bill Hagerty, Senator Cynthia Lummis, and Senator Tim Scott, in particular, for keeping the ball rolling on this issue. I hope that in the future we will be able to take up bipartisan legislation without Democrats creating these unnecessary delays.

We've seen a decoupling, which is very interesting. I think a lot of this has to do with where we're at in the regulatory cycle regarding all of crypto. There is a bipartisan bill, the Stablecoin Act, now called the Genius Act under Hagerty, that looks like it has broad support towards digital payment systems. It is a march forward in finally regulating crypto and everybody's figured out we want this regulation. All of the tone is better and I think the market's reflecting that.

Colorado already has businesses fleeing for states with less red tape. The Democrats solution? Let’s add more unnecessary regulation. SB26-146 states that restaurants and establishments serving food cannot hand out condiments, napkins, cup sleeves, etc unless the customer directly requests them. On its face, seems small. But just like the many small gun bills, these regulatory bills add up. And heavy regulation kills economic growth. Let’s focus on ways to attract businesses to our state, not push them out.
