I’m very glad this is happening I hope they create a task force to enforce it strictly

After this of they see anyone putting rubbish into gutters or building on waterways ... The way this people will lash you err 😂 it a good initiative tho .. This is really good

Military guys dey carry aura paa oo

@jo_eldjanie if we allow our engineers to work, the risk of floods in Accra will significantly reduce.

I love military people...their energy is different kind. If not my age paa I would have applied to join them

After illegal structures are demolished, debris and garbage are well cared for and properly disposed, streams and waterways are expanded and well drained and what next? Please @JDMahama sack and prosecute these lazy city authorities and institutions. They have failed

Good move by GAF. But clearing drains is step 1. The real test is stopping new illegal structures and keeping people from dumping trash after the military leaves.

My building at mallam watching me

They shouldn’t just deploy, they should give us a wet season plan from now till 2036.

@ekpeskpanor The indiscipline is too much Can’t we have military stations alongside police stations ? At least for a 20yrs experiment 🤲🤲

Can we join them to work for mother Ghana ? 🇬🇭

In short Beatings!!!

Let's give the country to the military for 8yrs p3, I promise you, Ghana will become like Rwanda or Ethiopia

If we had a president of Ghanaians & not NDC, he'll give speech on prime time console ppl who lost ppl & things & mobilize the citizens to come together & join the army for a national clean up. If u have an illegal structure & ur neighbors & soldiers come to demolish, can't blame

Mahama with some Rawlings vibes in deploying the military small small. Those who sold Achimota forests and shared billions of monies meant for sanitation say we should leave them out of accountability according to Kojo Oppong Nkrumah!

It's high time we started using the army for a ot of things like this. Now they can put their engineering skills to work. Later give them some road contracts.

How do we voluntarily join to eradicate this national problem

Yassssssss

Pls sir I didn’t hear you people will lash anyone caught putting rubbish in the drains oo anaa e be my ears wey no make I hear am clear, people need to be slapped and lashed in this country

Kindly come to C6, C10, C11 & 12 all the influential people have properties there. They demolished some and left the palm greasing apparatchiks.

@_i_am_Curtis Whilst doing that, can the government form sanitation policing department similar to the olden day “tankas” to start arresting people who criminally dump refuse anywhere? I think there should be a separate ministry for sanitation and beautification of the cities.

Removed without delay ! Nbs aura from the military I’m looking forward to that

Just like galamsey , nothing go happen

This should not be a one day show .

This is exactly how you handle a national crisis. For years, local assemblies have sat by while people built illegally in waterways due to politics. Bringing in the military engineers means the law will finally be enforced without looking at faces. Clear the drains and pull down the structures!

Nice one. I trust the army to execute their duties without fear or selection for any politicians or corrupt rich people. Then can we start strict enforcement on sanitation? Especially public littering

Soldier always bend to the instructions of the politician and that's what make their work difficult. They will start alright but political interference will not help them. Listen to Fella Kuti's Zombie

If Major Ayariga suffer desilt these drains finish wey dem catch you say you dey flout deɛ yawa for you😂

The engineers at local council take huge sums of money from people and grant them permit m to build within waterways. They must be investigated and sanctioned without delay

I like the way the government is using military in critical situations and project that need urgent intervention

"One day, we'll understand him" came too quick, hmmm!

Hands will touch some people p3🤣

@Oskwamzz the ‘immediate’ no dey sweet me. even if the threat is a million years away, mondwiri nyinaa ngu masa

They couldn't stop galamsey. Now they are going to tackle another problem that they cannot solve. Ghana army. Hype team!
